About me

Hello Everyone! My name is Imani Lopez (They/Them). I am a full spectrum doula and childbirth educator serving Solano and surrounding counties. I have been a birthworker for two years now and serve clients multiple capacities. I can support with education and planning, labor and birth, and postpartum. I believe everyone deserves support during such big life transitions and I would be honored to be called in to support you.

Service introduction

I offer: Perinatal Education and Planning - where we create a birth and postpartum plan, and I will provide general education on pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. This is done during the prenatal period. Labor and Birth Support - Along with the perinatal education and planning, I will be present at your birth to offer emotional support, hand on comfort measures/positioning/massage to cope with labor, and advocacy support as desired. Postpartum Support - I can offer hourly support in the household by doing light cleaning (Dishes, laundry, tidying, taking out trash etc.), Newborn support (Feeding, changing, soothing etc.) and emotional support in processing the birth and postpartum experience.

Frequently asked questions

Do you accept Medi-Cal

Yes. I am a Medi-Cal enrolled doula, which means I can bill Medi-cal to provide full services to you at no cost.

Do you accept Private/Commercial Insurance?

Yes - I am currently in the process of credentialing and contracting with different insurance companies. During our consultation, we can discuss your insurance plan and verify that I will be able to serve you.

Do you offer overnight postpartum support?

Yes I do! I offer both daytime and overnight postpartum support. The support you receive is catered to your needs and a care plan will be worked out in our early meetings. The amount of visits I can provide, depend on your insurance or self-pay capacity.

What are your rates?

I believe everyone deserves doula support regardless of whether they can pay or not. I offer sliding scale pricing on all of my services, and offer the green bottle method for my clients to determine where on the scale they fall. (More information here: https://www.nowyouknowadoula.com/sliding-scale-guide) My Birth Support ranges between $1,000 - $4,000 My postpartum Support ranges between $30 - $50 per hour. If these rates do not work for you, I am still willing to work with you. Please feel free to reach out and we can discuss how I can best serve you within both of our capacities.
