About me

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, in a lively, half-Italian, half-Irish family. My mother was a Lamaze instructor who taught childbirth classes in our home, surrounding me with the language, rhythm, and wonder of pregnancy and birth from an early age. As the eldest of four siblings and 16 grandchildren, I grew up surrounded by babies, witnessing the magic of new life, and developing a deep-rooted sense of awe and normalcy around the birthing process. When my husband and I began our own journey into parenthood, we immersed ourselves in learning all we could about pregnancy and birth. We eagerly read books, took childbirth classes, and welcomed the support of a caring doula. I was incredibly grateful to experience two unmedicated births with her guidance, welcoming our sons in 2004 and 2006—both transformative and empowering moments that continue to inspire me. Today, our family is rounded out with two rescue puppies and a very loved guinea pig. Though I explored many creative and administrative paths, I found myself longing for a more meaningful way to serve others. My own births lit a spark in me, and that spark grew into a calling. I became a doula and spent years supporting families through births in homes, birth centers, and hospitals across Los Angeles. Over time, my passion for this sacred work deepened, and I felt the undeniable pull to expand my knowledge and commitment by becoming a midwife. Through years of study, apprenticeship, and dedication, I graduated from the MEAC-accredited National Midwifery Institute. I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) with the North American Registry of Midwives and am a Licensed Midwife (LM) with the Medical Board of California. I have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of families on their birthing journey's. Becoming a midwife has been one of the greatest honors of my life—and I carry every story, every family, and every birth with gratitude and reverence.

Words feel inadequate to express my gratitude for Jennifer! I don't even know where to begin! She attended my first birth as a doula and my second as a homebirth midwife, and each time her involvement was absolutely fundamental to the success of the birth. She is the epitome of what a birth worker should be – knowledgeable, reliable, friendly, loving, calming, and easy to talk to. Beyond her professional expertise, she possesses a rare ability to create a safe and nurturing environment, allowing me to fully trust the process. Her unwavering support and genuine care transformed what could have been stressful experiences into empowering and beautiful moments. I wholeheartedly recommend Jennifer to anyone seeking a truly exceptional birth experience.
