About me

Hi, I’m Jess, founder of Millie & Marin Newborn & Infant Care, providing warm, attentive support to families throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Waterdown, Ancaster and Hamilton. I specialize in overnight newborn and infant care, giving parents the opportunity to rest while knowing their baby is being lovingly and attentively cared for just steps away. During the night, I respond to your baby’s needs, support feeding and burping, change diapers, soothe and settle baby back to sleep, and carefully document feeds, diaper changes and sleep stretches so you know exactly how the night went. My care extends beyond baby, too. I believe supporting a newborn means supporting the whole family. While your household sleeps, I work quietly and wash and prepare bottles, tidy baby-related items and help reset your space for the morning. I tidy and stock supplies in the nursery. I also offer complimentary concierge support for small baby essentials such as diapers or wipes when needed. I offer this service because I know very well that sometimes you just need that last minute thing and I want to support you in any way I possibly can. I bring more than 20 years of professional caregiving experience, including a nursing background, along with extensive experience supporting children and families. My approach with newborns is responsive, gentle and individualized — I follow your baby rather than expecting your baby to fit into a rigid routine. I’m comfortable caring for singletons and twins and offer both ongoing packages and flexible hourly care. Most importantly, I understand what a privilege it is to be invited into a family’s home during such a vulnerable and exhausting season.
