Aloha! Nana JillAnna here:) I have been a Birthworker and professional nurturer for over 30 years. Along the way I have picked up a Birth Doula certification, a post partum, sleep,, breastfeeding, herbology, naturopathy, and nutrition degrees and certifications; as well as reflexology, massage, cranio-sacral therapeutic techniques, and yin yoga. I have a BA is Psychology, and advanced degrees from both Harvard in the Psychology of Leadership and from Cornell in Public Advocacy. I am the mother of 12 in a complicated blended family; and I LOVE coming along new families as they navigate the wild and woolly world of pregnancy, birth, and the parent “HOOD”. I am eager to join along and help your family navigate challenges and optimize joy and peace at this beautiful time of life:)

Usually we do a virtual interview and assessment. From the time of contract I am reachable for any questions or concerns. Then I visit you in your home to go over a birth plan, birth preferences, at 28-32 weeks. Next at 32-34 weeks I visit again to discuss birth positions, comfort measures, and logistics and planning for your birth. I help you figure out when to go to the hospital; and attend your birth, advocating alongside as decisions need to be made. I stay until mom and baby are stable and settled and hopefully nursing well. I visit 1-2 weeks after your birth to debrief about highlights and challenging moments; and other services can be contracted throughout that time; or afterwards. Such as; massage, nutrition evaluation, herbology consultation, naturopathic consult, sleep training, and lactation consulting, and post partum care (night or day hours).
