Hi my name is Joy and I'm a RN, Birth and Postpartum Doula in Northern Virginia. I have learned from elders, family and friends in addition to being a nurse for the past 15 years. I love all aspects of birth and being a resource to Moms and families. As a midwifery student, I am always looking to learn more and truly love serving my community. 💫 Hello and congratulations on your growing family! My name is Joy, and I’m a birth and postpartum doula as well as a childbirth educator specializing in the HypnoBirthing® method. Through my practice, I support families in preparing for a calm, empowered birth and a peaceful, well-supported postpartum transition. My services include: • Birth Doula Support – Continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy and labor to help you feel confident and cared for throughout your birthing journey. • Postpartum Doula Care – Gentle, in-home support for rest, recovery, newborn care, and emotional well-being as you adjust to life with your new baby. • HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Education – Evidence-based classes that teach relaxation, breathing, and visualization techniques to help you release fear and embrace a more positive, calm birth experience. My goal is to help you feel supported, informed, and deeply connected to your own inner wisdom as you bring your baby into the world.
