Hi! I'm Abbey. I've been an infant nanny for more than ten years, ranging from full-time to as-needed. Night nannying has been my favorite, and I'm working toward a postpartum doula certification! I love working with new moms (and dads), comforting the understandable anxiety, trying out new "tricks" and methods for baby's care, and enjoying all the little milestones together as a team. I believe parents know their child best and do my best to follow their lead(s) and needs in addition to baby's. Safety is extremely important to me. I'm vaccinated, I don't smoke/chew, I love dogs and cats, and I have reliable transportation! I am knowledgeable in sleep training and have experience with medically needy, colicky, and gassy babies. I am trained in Infant CPR, First Aid, safe sleep, swaddling techniques, and general feeding protocols (breastmilk and formula). Right now, I also work as a book editor (self-employed). I have a Bachelor's in English and Creative Writing. I'm a big believer in getting to know each other first! Let's meet for coffee, chat on the phone--whatever you'd like! I'm grateful you took the time to read this! :) Abbey

As your doula it’s my goal to make sure you have the skills, education and support to make informed decisions on how to birth YOUR way. Certified as a DONA birth/postpartum doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, as well as a certified advanced trained doula & educator in VBaC births, my role is to educate, support and empower every individual and their support partner through their pregnancy, labor and postpartum. I incorporate SpinningBabies methods into my work and provide encouraging, judgment-free and continuous birth support that is unique to each client’s hopes and wants towards a healthy & satisfying birth experience. Some of my professional highlights including being voted a Top Provider in GRKids Best Of GR and serving as director for The Maternal Wellness Program. On the personal side, I am a mom to three amazing children – Malone, Beau & Jocelyn (twins!), and wife to a sweet “Kentucky Boy”. My introduction to motherhood was challenging. I struggled with infertility, postpartum depression/anxiety and a difficult first birth. All these moments in my life set me on my path and passion for birth & postpartum support, and maternal mental health.

I had a really wonderful experience working with Carrie and Hannah. Our intro call was very helpful to determine if we were a good fit and the process of getting signed up was easy. I decided to take the birth course offered by Ginger Blossom and was able to meet with Carrie and Hannah in my home. It was very informative and they were both approachable, warm, encouraging, supportive, felt like new friends while also being professional. They were prompt in answering any questions I had via text. During labor, Carrie was helpful talking to both me and my husband on the phone over a day and an half while I was waiting for labor to progress further until we made the decision for her to come in for in-person support. Carrie was a great support in-person as well- to both me and my husband. I was so glad to have Carrie on my team while I had my first baby. Would highly recommend exploring Ginger Blossom for your doula services.

I am a photographer and doula. I am the co-founder of The Nurturing Company. My teammate and I offer birth photography, birth support, postpartum support, birth and postpartum prep, and a variety of photography session options. It is our goal that families working with us feel held and supported as they enter into this chapter of their parenthood journey. As a doula, I provide physical, emotional, and informational support for families during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I am passionate about helping families through education and advocacy. As a birth photographer, I artfully document birth stories to capture all the details of how each birth unfolds. I desire to help families see the beauty, strength, and surrender in each of their birth images.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Bri and Randi during our pregnancy and the birth of our daughter in January 2026. I hadn’t originally been set on having doula support, but it was strongly encouraged by the midwives at our birth center, so we started researching. I’m so, so thankful that The Nurturing Company was one of the business cards I picked up. From the moment I visited their website, reached out, and began communicating with them, the decision was made. The warmth and love that came across just from their website and our virtual interactions pale in comparison to the support and care we received in person. We chose the Birth Support and Photography package and couldn’t be happier with what we received. Having both Randi and Bri at our prenatal visits felt like an even greater advantage—we had two brains to pick, two perspectives to hear, and two experienced mothers to look to as we prepared for this huge change in our lives. The group chat where I could ask them any questions that came to mind during pregnancy and postpartum felt like a group chat with my very own big sisters. Randi hiked out in the snow and took the most ethereal winter maternity photos for us. Bri was on call when I went into labor, and she truly went above and beyond for us. She was with us from our home to the birth center and back again when labor stalled. She even rode in the ambulance with me after our daughter’s birth when we had to be transferred to the hospital for an emergency D&C to remove my placenta. Her constant support was incredibly reassuring. My husband and I truly don’t know how we would have done it without her. The Birth Story Photo reveal at 6 weeks with snacks and hugs was the most healing and wonderful “ending” to this specific experience. And we’re so thankful that they are now a part of our village and community moving forward. Bri and Randi at The Nurturing Company are the beautiful, gilded picture frame around our birth experience. We could not recommend them enough.

Choosing a doula is about finding someone you feel safe with, supported by, and truly listened to. I believe every family deserves to feel respected, informed, and cared for during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My goal is to create a calm, steady presence so parents can focus on welcoming their baby with confidence. I am a DONA Certified birth and postpartum doula, a Lactation Specialist, and VBAC certified. I also have training in techniques such as Spinning Babies, the Miles Circuit, and a variety of labor positions and comfort measures that can help support progress and reduce discomfort during labor. My role during birth is to help create a calm environment, offer practical comfort techniques, and support both the birthing person and their partner so they feel informed and empowered throughout the experience. After birth, my focus shifts to helping families rest, recover, and adjust to life with their new baby. Postpartum support can include newborn care guidance, feeding support, emotional encouragement, and helping parents find their rhythm during those early weeks. Every family is different, and I meet people where they are and support them in the ways that feel most helpful to them. I proudly accept Medicaid as well as private pay so that more families can access doula support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Supporting families during this time is truly meaningful work to me, and I feel honored to be invited into such an important moment in people’s lives. When I am not working with families, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and visiting the beach where I love collecting rocks along the shore.

My name is Claire and I am starting my doula journey. I feel that I have been called to support women during pregnancy and postpartum. I'm outgoing, supportive of your choices as a mother, and a great listener. I am skilled at de-escalating situations in which you may feel panicked or afraid, and explain things in simple terms so that they aren't overwhelming. I will advocate for you in whatever situation you need, whether with a high-pressure medical provider or your nosy mother-in-law. I have worked with children 5 to 18 years old who have mental, physical, and emotional handicaps as well as a multitude of students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Working with these students has brought me so much joy and understanding of a world that can be very hard to explain to those with no experience in it. Whether it is you, your children, or loved ones who identify with the previous disorders, I would be beyond honored and ecstatic to help work through the crazy mystery and miracle of birth. I am currently going through the certification process to be a doula and need to attend three births to be fully certified. I am looking to help anyone I can in this process.

Claire was my doula throughout my entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She went with me to doctors visits and spoke up for my needs when I didn’t feel like I could advocate for myself. She was constantly researching ways to solve each unique problem I would have, such as ways to help my hyperemesis graviderum, finding unique foods that would stay down, or baby products that would accommodate specific needs that I or my neurodivergent husband had. She also taught my husband how to care for me when he felt incapable of helping me. During my natural homebirth Claire helped me stay calm and in a positive headspace while making sure my birth plan was followed. I was able to breathe baby out without any interventions and I credit so much of that to Claire’s support. Postpartum she helped me to the bathroom, helped me change my diapers, and even bathed me and washed my hair when I felt incapable of taking care of myself due to a painful tear from the birth. She came when I hadn’t slept in 48 hours post birth and took care of my newborn so I could sleep. Any time I called Claire she would just let me talk, release any anxieties I was having, and then help me come up with a practical plan to solve my problem. She is a fantastic listener and she was never condescending or made me feel silly for any of my anxieties or little problems. I truly could not have gotten through any of the pregnancy stages without Claire’s support and would highly recommend her to everyone, especially if you are neurodivergent and need someone who will stand up for you in any situation. Thank you, Claire!

Jaynie is skilled newborn provider who provides just as much love and support for new parents as she does for newborns! Having her support overnight is a game changer--everyone sleeps better and we never have to worry that our newborn is getting every single need met (and plenty of snuggles!) while she's here. — Kira R., review of Abbey McLaughlin August 2026

Abigail (Abbey) has been invaluable in providing postpartum support and newborn care to my husband and I after we brought our son home from the hospital! Abbey has supported us in learning to care for our son by sharing her extensive experience with infants, demonstrating practical skills, and answering any and all questions we come up with. Part of her postpartum support has included helping us with household tasks like dishes and laundry, which has been so helpful in allowing both of us to fully focus on caring for our son. She has also continually encouraged me to prioritize caring for myself as a new mom so I can care well for our baby. Abbey has a wonderful sense of humor, is a great listener, and I feel so comfortable having her in our home. I would absolutely recommend her to any new parents who are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional to support them through the postpartum period.

— Lydia G., review of Abbey McLaughlin August 2026

bbey has been an incredible nighttime nanny for our family. She is calm, reliable, and extremely attentive to our baby’s needs throughout the night. She follows our routines perfectly, keeps detailed notes, and always makes sure our little one is comfortable and settled. Her presence gives us real peace of mind, and we wake up knowing everything was handled with care. We highly recommend Abbey to any family looking for trustworthy overnight support.
