About Karina

I am a full service doula that can be contacted for prenatal, birth postpartum support or any combination of the 3. I aim to make every family feel confident and empowered by their choices through this transition. Knowing they are well informed and have access to all the resources they could want. I ask that my clients be honest about their wants/needs, and dedicate some prenatal hours to discussing this so we can be most effective with our time together. My goal is to help make this special time in your life comfortable, calm, and joyous.

Birth & Postpartum Doula packages and pricing

Birth Doula

Doula support begins at the signing of the contract with text and phone availability. 3 scheduled prenatal visits access to my lending library and digital resources on-call availability starting 2 weeks prior to the due date and continuing until the baby is born. A retainer fee of $700 is due with the signed contract to reserve the on-call period. The remainder of the fee for services is due 2 weeks prior to the due date.

Postpartum Doula

Daytime packages with shifts between 3-7 hours. 1 in home prenatal meeting included with all contracts above 50 hours to discuss goals and care preferences. for all smaller contracts, I am available by phone to answer questions and do some postnatal planning before the contract begins.

$40 USD · Per hour

What to expect

As a doula, I draw on knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort and information to help you make informed decisions during labor. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning and other techniques for comfort. Postpartum is a time of great transition for your body, the baby, and your household. My services may include emotional support, breastfeeding assistance, newborn care education, light household tasks, and other postpartum support.

How do I know I'll like you?

Call me! I hope my calm understanding nature shines through our very first meeting. I'll be nervous about being part of this tender time in your life too, but with open and honest communication I know you'll feel stronger and more confident with me in your corner.

Will my partner feel left out?

As a birth doula, I will want to get to know your whole birth team and I would assure everyone that I am there to support but never to 'take over'. This is your birth, and your partner will be as involved as they are able. In fact I think my main superpower is to facilitate your partner being most effective they can be! As a postpartum doula, My job is to make sure the whole house is supported in this transition to parenthood, or new siblinghood.
