Hi, I’m Nicole! (she/her) I live in New Westminster with my rambunctious toddler, and my husband. We love exploring the outdoors and attending toddler playgroups together. I also love listening to podcasts and dancing in Zumba classes. I have completed both Holistic Birth Doula & Postpartum Doula training through MotherWit Doula Care, as well as the Step 2 Education Breastfeeding Essentials course. I’m so excited to also be a Prenatal Educator with Birth By Bloom/ Dancing Star Birth and teach expecting families at Pomegranate Midwives in East Vancouver. I am certified in CPR-C (trained in CPR for babies, children and adults) for your peace of mind. I have completed a mentorship from Morag Hastings of Apple Blossom Families and Dancing Star Birth. I strive to inform my clients, so you feel confident making educated, evidence-based choices to determine your value system for your birthing experience. I will honour and support those values, encouraging you to root into your instincts and trust your body throughout this physiologic process. I create space to acknowledge the transformation into parenthood and support your family so you feel grounded throughout this time of transition. At your birth, I tune into you and your support people to anticipate your needs, and take care of small details in maintaining the environment, to promote a more nurturing space for you all. I also offer postpartum support to help your family adjust during the postpartum period.

Hello Mamas! I'm Char 🌸—a Birth & Postpartum Doula and Prenatal Yoga Instructor. It's been an honour supporting families through this special journey. BIRTH: My goal is to help you feel empowered, informed, and supported every step of the way. Whether you're planning a hospital or home birth, I meet you where you are and act as a bridge between your vision and your experience. POSTPARTUM: We once lived in a society where mothers raised their babies with other mothers. Each was held through her journey to Motherhood and knowledge was passed on from grandmothers to mothers. These days, mothers live a very different reality. Communal living has disappeared and families are spread out, leaving minimal help available. The sense of community is not as present as it once was, and that can feel isolating—especially for mothers. My goal is to be there during the peak of postpartum, allowing for a supportive transition into parenthood. EXPERIENCE: I've supported families with Birth and Postpartum through the Doula Service Association, the Doula for Aboriginal Families Grant Program, and Vancouver Coastal Health's Indigenous Health team. My background also includes work as a Pregnancy Outreach Worker with Burnaby Family Life, leading prenatal groups, one-on-one sessions, and postpartum support circles.

Charlene Labrador is a wonderful Doula. I am ever grateful she was apart of my journey. She has such a beautiful spirit and gentle energy. She is very knowledgeable and thorough in her work. She has such a pure spirit. Me and my partner are grateful that she was here for my labour and birth as well, we are grateful for her help and support. She was very thoughtful and kind, but yet strong and supportive. She knows her stuff, and I can see that she is very passionate in her work. I am grateful she was my doula and that we’ve crossed paths. I’ve learned a lot from her and glad that we have connected.

Hey my name is Santaya, I am a Birth doula.I work as a pregnancy coach while also being a personal trainer for delivery. I work with families to help them achieve their goals for birth. This means i meet with patients (and families) twice during pregnancy to go over needs and goals for clients birth plans. During my clients pregnancy i visit them every trimester to do a check up. In these visits i go over what to expect within that trimester and answer any of the patients questions. I also track the pregnancy in a book that i give to the patient after delivery. I offer business hours on call support to my clients. This means i will be available from 9 am-5pm for physical support, emotional support and informational support via text or call. I help assist/coach my clients with delivery at the hospital however long that may be.I don't have to do shift change. I am present during labor till a few hours after.I help support clients that decide on natural birth, epidural or C section. Postpartum clients usually feel they no longer need men after a couple hours. Most times this is natural for the family unit to adjust and adapt to normal everyday life. However, I also offer packages for postpartum newborn aftercare where I can assist with breastfeeding and overnight care of the newborn. My passion in life is the celebration of mothers. Working with women and helping women build their families THIER way. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you feel you are in need of a doula please reach out. I offer 1hr consultations in person for $25 dollars.Or free 15 minute consultation over the phone. You can contact me via email @ taya.prodoula@gmail.com. Joann Christensen

Packages from $1,500

Hi there, my name is Joann. I am deeply passionate about birth work and understand that each pregnancy and birth experience is unique. My goal is to provide evidence-informed care that empowers families to make the choices that feel right for them. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to support families in the language they feel most comfortable with. When I’m not supporting families, I’m busy with my three children and two Frenchton pups. I love connecting with people, sharing knowledge, and helping parents feel confident and supported during this transformative time.

Joann was such an incredible support to us throughout pregnancy, labour, and postpartum. Our baby is 6 months old now and when I think of his birth, I remember how amazing it was to have Joann there. I had a planned c-section after a very traumatic delivery with my first, so I knew I wanted a doula by my side, but also to support hubby in case he needed it. Throughout pregnancy, Joann was a cheerleader, always there to talk. When our little guy decided he couldn’t wait until his planned c-section date, Joann pivoted and met us as at the hospital as soon as we needed her. She came with her bag of tricks (lol) to help me through labour (a labour I wasn’t anticipating because of the scheduled c-section), which progressed so quickly, and she was so great at ensuring both myself and hubby were supported where and when we needed. She took beautiful pics too and stayed with us until we were settled in our room. The overnight visits were a game changer, too! We love and appreciate Joann, and couldn’t imagine what the experience would have been like without her! I’ve given birth without a doula, and with a doula - having Joann there was the experience any mama deserves when having a baby <3

I’m a caring, calm, and practical family support provider with a diverse professional background in healthcare, childcare, aquatics, first aid, and community work. I spent 12 years working in healthcare with at-risk youth and older adults, and I’m currently completing my Full Spectrum Doula training through Doula School Canada, including postpartum care. I bring that combination of healthcare experience, safety knowledge, and hands-on family support into the way I care for both parents and children. My approach is very individual. I don’t believe there is one “right” way to parent, recover, feed a baby, build a routine, or support a child. I believe in meeting families where they are, listening before assuming, and helping people feel more confident in their own abilities rather than stepping in and trying to take over or “fix” things. Sometimes support means practical help, sometimes it means information or reassurance, and sometimes it means recognizing that someone is exhausted and needs a meal, a shower, a few uninterrupted hours of sleep, or simply another capable adult in the room. With children, I’m calm, creative, and very hands-on. I encourage age-appropriate independence, I’m patient about mistakes, happy to answer approximately nine million questions, and generally not bothered by a little mud, paint, flour, or chaos along the way. I also have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and youth and take an individualized, trauma-informed approach to communication, routines, sensory needs, and emotional regulation. Ultimately, I want the families I support to feel safe, respected, listened to, and more confident — not judged or managed. I bring a lot of professional knowledge into a home, but I never forget that it is your family, your values, and your life. My role is to support you in it.

As a new mom, my husband and I didn’t have any family nearby, so I had many questions and felt unsure about what to expect after my pregnancy. Tiffany was a helpful resource before, during, and after the birth. With so many things I didn’t know and no one to guide me, Tiffany stayed with us and was always friendly, dependable and easy to talk to. She offered kind support and helpful advice for all my questions. Our baby also felt very comfortable with her, which made our transition to life with a new baby much easier. We are very thankful for Tiffany’s help as our doula. Having her around at such an important time meant a lot to our family. Even months after the baby was born, she continued to be a caring and dependable presence, and our little one has grown to love her.
