About me

Hi, I'm Madi! I'm a full spectrum doula and social worker based in Chicago, IL. All of my work is rooted in trauma-informed, collaborative, relational, compassionate, and inclusive care. As a social worker, I’ve spent over 11 years working in non-profits, primarily in direct service roles supporting people from diverse backgrounds across the lifespan. A through line of my work has been walking alongside people during some of life’s biggest transformations. I love that all of this experience as a social worker shapes how I now show up as a doula.

Service introduction

Birth is a transformative experience and you deserve compassionate support throughout the entire journey. As your doula, I'm not here to manage your birth or tell you how to navigate this experience. I'm here to tend you through it. This can look like showing up with grounding, calming energy, honoring your instincts and your autonomy, advocating for your wishes, and providing comfort measures. My approach is trauma-informed, autonomy-centered, and deeply relational. I bring over eleven years of social work experience alongside my doula training, which means I understand the systems you're moving through and how to help you navigate them on your own terms. I love working with queer and trans folks, witchy parents, people in substance use recovery, and radical abolitionists! I am a queer abolitionist witch in recovery myself with a trans partner, so it nourishes me to be able to support my own community.
