Hi, I’m Maia! I’m a birth doula based in Los Angeles. My passion for women’s health began early, growing up in a household with three sisters and watching my mom complete her pediatric residency. After studying pre-med at Columbia University, I found my true calling in birthwork, becoming a doula so that I could provide unwavering support to women as they navigate the transformative steps of having a child. My approach is gentle, evidence-based, and rooted in listening. Every pregnancy and birth is unique, and I believe there’s no “right” way to move through the process. My role is to ensure that you are informed, supported, and advocated for, so that you can step into birth feeling grounded and have ownership over your journey. I also love taking pregnancy and birth photos for those who wish to document these special moments.

With years of experience working in maternal research and neonatal care at LA County, I blend compassionate care and childbirth education to make sure that mothers can step into birth feeling prepared and empowered. This starts with prenatal visits where we go over birth preferences, build a birth plan, and start learning comfort measures and body work. On the day of labor I get to support you continuously, at your side or wherever you need me. Our postpartum meetings ensure you are supported as you start life with a new baby.
Maia is absolutely phenomenal at what she does. My partner and I were very thankful for the support that we received through the birth process. Thank you so much. Would 1000% recommend!

First and foremost I just want to thank Maia for coming in and helping last minute!! Maia was my doulas back up and she came in with ease, preparation and such a calming energy. She sat by my side answered any questions I had and made sure she I was okay after my birth. She was a helpful hand when I needed something brought to me. Even rubbed my legs while I was waiting for the midwife’s to finish everything. She was wonderful 🤍
