I started caring for young children and infants in 2010. Throughout the years, I have worked with first-time families, families with multiples, and newborns with differences. I began my professional career in education, as an elementary school teacher. Throughout my time, I began to realize my passion lies within newborns, new parents, and perinatal mental health. As I transition out of classroom teaching, I have shifted my focus to mental health, and postpartum support. I hope to share my passion with new families while educating, supporting, and caring for you in one of the times of greatest need. I am so looking forward to meeting you.
Mia became a part of our family shortly after the birth of our second child. Having hired an overnight doula for our first, we knew this time around, with two little ones under two, we’d need even more support. From the moment Mia arrived, she was extraordinary. She intuitively understood the rhythm of our home and our unique challenges. I trusted her completely with my newborn, which allowed me to give my toddler the attention she needed. Mia provided unwavering emotional support and was remarkably proactive, anticipating our needs before we could voice them. She brought calm and clarity during a time when I often felt overwhelmed, almost like the part of my brain that wasn’t functioning in the haze of postpartum. Whether it was preparing nourishing snacks, offering thoughtful breastfeeding support, or simply being a grounding presence, Mia was indispensable. Her presence during those intense early weeks was nothing short of a gift. I could not recommend Mia more highly. - Aisling S.

We feel so incredibly lucky to have had Mia with us during the transformative first few months postpartum. From the moment she entered our home, her positive energy and calm presence brought a sense of peace and reassurance. She blended so seamlessly into our daily routine that it felt like she had always been a part of our family. Mia had a remarkable ability to intuitively align with our parenting style – gently taking her cues from us while also stepping in proactively - getting to work right away and requiring little direction to offer meaningful insights and support from the very start. She has a deep understanding of postpartum recovery and infant development and the ability to bounce ideas or questions off of her with each new phase gave us so much confidence as new parents. Mia offered calm, grounded guidance – never alarmist, but always attentive – helping us discern what was typical newborn behavior and what might warrant closer attention. Mia’s “tips and tricks” spanned a range of topics including soothing, baby wearing, bathing, sleep training, and feeding support. She always made sure to share links to helpful products or videos that I could easily access whenever I had my hands free (key for new moms!). Mia was the extra set of hands we didn’t know we needed. I could not imagine having gone through this post-partum period without her. She allowed us to rest, bond and breathe more easily during the early days. Above all, she is a lovely person to have in your home and part of your family. We are so grateful for her care and cannot recommend her highly enough. - Kendall G.

Mia was a fabulous postpartum doula for our family! As first-time parents, we were looking for someone who could help show us the ropes for taking care of a newborn. Mia helped us become confident in basic baby care (swaddling, diaper changes, baths, baby wearing, etc.), provided guidance with feeding, and generally organized all our newborn things (bottles, milk storage, clothing, etc). Mia had a wonderful demeanor with our baby. She has a very soothing and calming presence. This was especially helpful during times when I was looking for Mia to take care of our baby so I could shower, eat, or just get some extra sleep. Mia worked with us three mornings per week for our baby's first six weeks. Mia was able to start with us from our baby's fourth day, even though our baby arrived almost two weeks early. A major plus for us was that Mia was an approved Carrot Fertility doula. Mia was on top of the necessary Carrot paperwork, which made the reimbursement process easy for us. I could not recommend Mia more highly. - Kyle M.

Mia is an excellent postpartum doula. As a first-time mom, she was an incredibly calming and reassuring presence in our home during the first few weeks with our newborn. She gave me incredibly useful advice and tips on breastfeeding, bathing our baby, burping techniques and introducing a bottle. If I had any questions while she was not with us, I knew she was a quick text away. I could not recommend Mia highly enough.

“Mia came highly recommended by our birth doula. I didn’t have any family come help so Mia came in for several visits and truly did everything! She made me meals, brought water and tea, made snacks, did baby laundry, and organized all my baby stuff and things I needed for postpartum. She knew what I needed before I knew it. Thanks to her help I was able to transition well into motherhood and felt empowered taking care of my baby myself. What I loved as well is that she prepared me for my pediatrician appointments- I was always very well prepared when we went to see the pediatrician which gave me peace of mind.”

“I hired Mia after my 2nd birth. She is just amazing- such a ray of sunshine and aura of calm! She is studying therapy, hence she is very non-judgmental and very supportive on all topics. Some people can just get babies relaxed and Mia is one of them. I felt I was in the best hands with her and highly recommend her!”

“I had Mia and two other doulas help out after my 2nd baby. They did various shifts throughout the day and evenings. Mia was fantastic. Like having someone who is a combination of a good friend and professional support. I was always very comfortable when she took care of our daughter. Given the nature of having 2 children, she was very flexible in whatever help they needed. Mia is very non-judgemental and helped us in every way. Due to her support, I was able to spend time with my newborn and my husband could take care of our older child. I am so grateful I was able to have so much help after birth this time!”

Mia was IMMENSELY helpful after the birth of my second daughter. My second daughter was born just 22 months after my first, so I had 2 kids under 2 for the first few months. I also had a second c-section so I had limited ability to lift and significant pain for the first few weeks. Mia is a calm, caring, and kind person who somehow knew just the right thing to do or say in that environment. Mia would lovingly hold my newborn daughter so that she would sleep - for hours on end, it seemed - and would compassionately listen to me vent about the many challenges of having 2 young children, trying to work at the same time, and trying to physically get back to a comfortable space. If there was downtime, Mia would fold laundry, do dishes, play with my older daughter, and just generally make everyone's lives better! To be honest, I wish Mia could have just moved in with us for the duration as she made every hour she was there SO much easier and more pleasant. Our first few months with 2 kids under 2 were not easy, but they were manageable BECAUSE we had Mia helping us.
