About me

Hello, My name is Hermila but everyone calls me Milly. I am originally from Havana, Cuba but have been living in Miami for over 20 years. I am bilingual and speak both English and Spanish. I am a mother of two girls whom I adore and have taught me more about life than I could ever explain. I am a birth and postpartum doula serving the South Florida area. For as long as I could remember, I have been fascinated by all things surrounding pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. My very different birth experiences lead me on the path of birth work. Having had a c-section with my first daughter and natural home birth with my second. Having lived the drastic difference between those experiences shaped my views and proved the importance of education and support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I have made it my life’s work to educate and prepare families in all aspects for the journey ahead. It is an honor to be able to guide families in this transitional time of their lives. I strongly believe the way we birth impacts our lives forever. It is my mission to make sure every family I work with has the proper tools to achieve the birth experience they desire.

Service introduction

Postpartum Doula Services   As a postpartum doula, I believe in supporting you through the healing process that unfolds within the first 6 weeks after babies arrival and beyond .  All postpartum clients receive emotional/educational support, help with infant care, maternal recovery support, feeding support, light housework, errands, and sibling care (if applicable).     INCLUDES: • Mama care (emotional well-being, setting boundaries, self-care, processing birth) • Assisting with newborn/baby care • Sibling and pet care/adjustment • Guidance and encouragement on feeding • Light household help/organization A *  If my fees present a challenge for you financially, please get in touch and we can see if we can reach an agreement or payment plan that is fair for us Your investment for this package is $35hr day time /$45 hr night time PACKAGES also available at set rates. Must be scheduled in shifts of at least 4 hours.   10 hours-$ 350 20 hours-$700 30 hours-$1050
