About Miranda

My name is Miranda Slaydon, I am a certified birth and postpartum doula serving the Brazos Valley area. Allow me to take care of the small things so that you can focus on the magical moments of birth. I will be there to comfort you, listen to you, and advocate for you every step of the way. There is absolutely no need for my care to stop with welcoming your baby into your arms. I believe that every mother should feel equipped going into the fourth trimester and know that there is value in asking for help and being held so that you can hold your bundle of joy and get the rest you need. While walking with families in this lifechanging season is my favorite career I've ever had, my life outside of birth looks like barefoot babies of my own roaming our small homestead and making messes in the kitchen! I cannot wait to connect with you and see if I am a good fit on your dream birth team!

Postpartum Doula Support

**Rates range from $35-$45 / hour ✓ One postpartum planning meeting before baby is here to make a plan and provide education ✓ Hourly postpartum service to help get your journey of bringing home a new baby off to a great start with confidence ✓ Providing education, a listening ear, light house cleaning, lactation support, nutritious meal planning and prep & more ✓ Heavy focus on providing space for mom to rest and bond with new baby ✓ Daytime and overnight shifts available + Fully certified including CPR

$40 USD · Per hour

Miranda walked through every step of pregnancy and postpartum with us! She nearly moved in with us as I labored for nearly 2 days. She helped me remain calm through contractions, move me into different labor positions, and prayed over me when defeat was setting in. Not only did she make sure I was taken care of, but she ensured my husband was fed, got rest, and had space to take a break if he needed. After our baby was here, she cleaned our whole house, started laundry, and tucked us in for our first night as a family of three! She’s a WELL of knowledge and has the biggest heart to serve those around her. I can easily say that hiring her to be our doula was the best decision we made!
