Laura was an incredible support to us before, during, and after the birth of our daughter. She helped us feel prepared through thorough prenatal meetings and by sharing helpful local resources, in addition to the resources she provided herself. During labor, Laura was especially valuable in helping me manage pain and offering different laboring positions and techniques. Her calm, knowledgeable presence made a meaningful difference when things became challenging and we needed to adapt our birth plan. One of the things I appreciated most was how intentional Laura was about making sure we felt comfortable with the decisions being made throughout the birth process. She helped us slow down, understand our options, and make decisions we felt good about. I always felt supported and empowered to advocate for myself, knowing I had someone experienced in my corner. Laura provided compassionate, continuous support from preparation through postpartum recovery, and we are so grateful to have had her with us for such an important experience. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely caring doula!

I Can’t Wait to Meet You! In the Meantime, Here’s a Little About Me. My name is Matea, hello nice to meet you, thank you for checking out this page to learn more about me as a Doula. But first, let me tell you about myself when I am not being an amazing Doula. I am a mother to three wonderful children, 2 girls and one boy. And in my spare time, I love to enjoy a good film with my boyfriend, read a couple of books, and do some writing! My journey to becoming a Doula began during my third child, when I got pregnant the last time I felt a profound sense of freedom, to pursue whatever birthing options I wanted to, I spent countless hours nerding out over the birthing process and realized that I wanted to share that feeling of freedom and confidence with as many mothers as I could. My first two labors and pregnancies to say the least were HORRID. Knowledge is the most powerful resource that we have going through the process of birth and parenthood, knowing what sensations to expect, what experiences you might have in a hospital or birthing room, what it feels like to have your first or second child, and what to expect when returning home. I have personal experience with all of this, and the education to back it. I make it my personal goal to be your partner in making your birth story your own, and not just the one that is handed to you in a packet from a doctor’s office. I would love to connect with you over a cup of coffee or a quick phone call and talk more about what a Doula can do to help make birth and postpartum a beautiful experience for you and your family. So what can doula do for me? Specifically this doula? Birth is a natural process, arguably the most natural process that any woman has the privilege to undergo. And our bodies are uniquely equipped with the knowledge and ability to complete this process. As a doula for both Birth and Postpartum families, it is my goal to equip and educate new families in the miraculous and powerful process of birth, whether it is your first child or your 5th, I make it my personal goal to ensure that you have all the tools and encouragement that you need to make your birthing and postpartum experience as easy as possible. A Doula is your own personal advocate, your partner in the wonderful process of pregnancy and postpartum. I have received my training to provide these services through DONA (one of the most reputable training and certification providers in the US). I provide a myriad of services to support and advocate for you during and after your pregnancy .

Hi! My name is Jesse! I am a birth worker! I have always had a calling for Obstetrics and all that it encompasses along with medicine! So to fill those callings I became a doula and a EMT in 2023! I believe that being informed in all that we do is important. Knowledge is power. And when you are at your most vulnerable time (giving birth) it is the most vital time to have all the information and the most support. My goal it to keep my clients informed, answer any questions, find resources. And help try to facilitate the birth that is wanted. I am a judgement-free doula. And am here to be a support person for you.

I want to start by saying when I first was getting a doula I had no idea what to expect or what a doula really would do during a birth. Jesse explained everything so beautifully on what a doula is used for, what the positives a doula can bring to a birthing experience, how doulas can help post-partum, and much more. I didn’t have too hard of a pregnancy but was diagnosed with Cholestasis in my third trimester which led to us needing to be induced around 37 weeks. I expressed my worries and scares with Jesse and we made a plan 💕 Jesse attended a birthing class with my husband and I as we were wanting to learn a little more about the birthing process and see if there was any educational assistance for inductions. Jesse was always one step ahead when it came to our questions and if we weren’t sure, she would ask or would try to find answers. The day came for our induction. We went in at 6am on the 13th and began the process of induction around 9:30am. Jesse was texting with me and checking in on me through the whole beginning process. I asked her if she would come once we got into active labor (which I didn’t know when that would come obviously) but she came that afternoon full of absolute love, excitement, and just a powerful presence. Through the full 39 hours of labor Jesse was by my side through every wake up, every contraction, every scare, every med pass, trying to get to the bathroom and then getting stuck on the toilet in the middle of contractions, reminding me to change positions, and every piece in between. The first 24hrs of labor were full of pressure releases, dance parties trying to work on dilation, watching a movie while trying to bounce on the exercise ball, and having LOTS of mental health check ins. My husband and I are so blessed to have had Jesse with us through this crazy adventure of our first birth, but I know 100% that we will NOT be doing another one without a doula. Jesse’s presence brought so much peace to both of us and made this rough labor a much happier experience to look back on. Thank you Jesse for all you do for the mamas and I can’t wait to reach out again for our next birth 💕 I couldn’t recommend someone more than Jesse to have by your side!!!!

Laura is incredible and just the person I needed by my side at all the right times. She took initiative when I needed support and bonded with my other children. She provided reassurance that I was doing all the things I could to support my baby. My family was comfortable having her over no matter what was going on at that time. She fit in perfectly! ♡ ♡ ♡ In addition, this was my third child and first experience with a doula. I am so grateful to have had her this time around and it would have been great to have her with the previous kiddos. ♡ ♡ ♡

We honestly didn’t know exactly what a doula did before this experience, but now I can confidently say I don’t know how we would have gotten through our birth without her. From the prenatal visits to checking in with us after baby girl was born, she was an incredible source of knowledge, encouragement, and support. She took the time to answer every question we had, provided helpful resources, and made sure we felt prepared every step of the way. During labor, when everything felt overwhelming and emotions were running high, she was a calm, reassuring presence. She helped us understand our options regarding medications, vaccines, and other decisions without ever making us feel pressured. Instead, she empowered us to make informed choices that were right for our family. She also helped communicate with the nurses and physicians when we were too overwhelmed to think clearly, making sure our voices were heard and our wishes were respected. She advocated for us, guided us through the chaos, and truly knew how to navigate the birth process. Her kindness, compassion, and experience gave us so much confidence during a time that could have easily felt frightening. And the snacks she brought were definitely a bonus! If you’re considering hiring a doula, I can’t recommend her highly enough. She was one of the best investments we made for baby girl’s birth, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything she did for our family.
