I am a military spouse, have base access and am a birth photographer and doula. As a doula, I’m dedicated to help families through this transformative and memorable experience. Though Tricare does not cover a doula on base, I do offer a military discount for base births for both doula and photography services. I was a teacher before photography and birth work, and I believe that gives me a solid background in keeping the calm in chaos. I love all things birth related, and especially love when families are present. I'm happy to have a free consult, grab a coffee and chat! Message me and let's set something up!

First of all, she is very well informed and makes sure you are informed as well, even though she had not attended many births at the time of my delivery. She has a bubbly, warm personality that immediately makes you feel comfortable and open with her from the moment you meet her. My backstory is that I wasn’t originally planning on having a doula, but there was a chance my husband might not be able to attend the delivery. I was already in my third trimester when I started looking for someone, and I feel very lucky that Rebecca was available. She is very reliable and supportive. Her calm and bubbly presence made labor and delivery feel much more manageable—we talked about everything and nothing during labor, which really helped keep me grounded. She also helped me communicate with the nurses and doctor about my wishes. My delivery experience with the doctor was not very positive. I felt rushed, especially because it was late in the evening, and I did not feel fully listened to. I did not want my water to be broken and wanted to labor down, but the doctor broke my water and encouraged me to push to deliver, saying laboring down was not possible and even dangerous. In that moment, Rebecca helped me communicate my concerns in a respectful and calm way and supported me emotionally when I felt my wishes were being dismissed. Before this experience, I didn’t fully understand what a doula does. Having Rebecca there the entire time made a huge difference and turned what could have been a very stressful experience into a much more positive one. She truly helped transform a difficult situation into something I can look back on with gratitude, love, and laughter.

I have always enjoyed helping others. I started my training in the medical field at the young age of 17 when I became a Certified Nurse Assistant. I continued my studies and became a Certified Medical Assistant, Although pregnancy was not easy for my body I thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant. With each pregnancy I was taught natural ways to cope and how to give my body what it needed. This gave me the desire to help other women, that desire continued to grow through each of my 5 pregnancies/ births to the point that I delivered my last baby unassisted and was able to catch her myself. I began my formal training with DONA in 2022 and became a certified birth doula in 2023. I have since worked with 4 midwives. in doing so I have gained great hands on experience and knowledge. I have been blessed to help many women through their own birth experiences. I look forward to continuing to serve and empower women for years to come. I want to continue the tradition of empowering and enriching women’s pregnancies and births, like my midwives did for me. Being a doula I get to do just that

I had Stephanie as my doula a couple years ago and right from the start I knew it was the right decision! My pregnancy was not easy, but Stephanie was there with words of encouragement, kindness and no judgment. When it came time to deliver, she was at my bedside with lots of trips and tricks up her sleeve! In times where she needed to help relax me, she was able to relax my husband too! She was never pushy, never made me try something I did not want to do and most importantly, she was kind and respectful not only to our family but to our doctor and the hospital staff as well! If we ever choose to get pregnant again, the moment we find out I am calling 2 people...our daycare to get on the waiting list and Stephanie to make sure she is with us every step of the way!

Hi! I'm Amber Hage, and I'm so glad you're here. I'm a birth and postpartum doula, birth and family photographer, placenta encapsulation specialist, and pediatric sleep consultant based in Fargo, North Dakota. As the founder of Fargo Birth, I have the privilege of leading an incredible team—including my sister—as we walk alongside families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. My goal is simple: to help you feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way. Whether I'm providing hands-on support during labor, preserving your birth story through photography, preparing your placenta, or helping your family find more restful nights, I want you to know you don't have to navigate this journey alone. I believe every family deserves compassionate, personalized care that honors their unique goals and values. No two births—or families—are the same, which is why I take the time to truly get to know you and provide support tailored to your needs. Before founding Fargo Birth, I earned degrees in Business Management & Marketing and Masters in Educational Leadership. Those experiences have helped me build a team and organization focused on excellence, education, and exceptional client care, while never losing sight of what matters most—the families we serve. When I'm not supporting clients, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband and our three boys, cheering them on at the hockey rink, watching reality TV, or helping my kids grow their own entrepreneurial adventures. It would be an honor to be part of your story and support your family through this incredible season of life.
