Birth & Postpartum Doula

About me

I grew up enchanted by midwives—their cheerful energy and seemingly magical presence as they welcomed my siblings into the world. That early fascination inspired my path into women's health. With a background in physical therapy, I have a deep passion for pelvic health and reproductive wellness. As a doula, I strive to provide evidence-based education, compassionate and holistic care, and strong advocacy so that families feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their birth journey. I hope to further specialize in lactation, exercise therapy, and water birth, and I am committed to continual growth and lifelong learning in my doula practice. I also love research and aspire to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of women's health in the years ahead. Outside of my work, I enjoy hiking with my preschooler, reading, writing about birth experiences in the East, and deepening my spiritual practice as a Muslim.

Service introduction

I offer birth and postpartum support grounded in evidence-based practice and physiological principles of labor and healing, as well as faith-based As a long-standing woman's health advocate, I prepare my clients well beforehand about the physiology of birth, interventions, inductions, and navigating the birth space with a variety of care providers. I often say, I want my clients to be so well prepared for birth that they can deliver their baby anywhere! I support unmedicated hospital births, home births, water births, and births with a planned epidural. I can also help with breastfeeding, both in the immediate postpartum and in the weeks to come, as well as infant care, and offer guidance on nutritional and physical healing support in the postpartum.
