Looking for a doula to help with birth and postpartum care. Lactation consultant is a plus but lower in priority. I plan to give birth vaginally in a hospital with an epidural. I am hoping for guidance on additional pain management techniques, birthing positions, and what I can do ahead of time to prep for birthing and postpartum. I need a certified lactation consultant who accepts Anthem Blue Cross California insurance who does in person visits in the Los Angeles area (preferably West LA). Preference is an English speaking professional who knows how to work with first time moms who are having trouble getting their baby to latch. The insurance I have with Anthem is a PPO and our budget is max $150 out of pocket for each in person visit.
