Hey my name is Santaya, I am a Birth doula.I work as a pregnancy coach while also being a personal trainer for delivery. I work with families to help them achieve their goals for birth. This means i meet with patients (and families) twice during pregnancy to go over needs and goals for clients birth plans. During my clients pregnancy i visit them every trimester to do a check up. In these visits i go over what to expect within that trimester and answer any of the patients questions. I also track the pregnancy in a book that i give to the patient after delivery. I offer business hours on call support to my clients. This means i will be available from 9 am-5pm for physical support, emotional support and informational support via text or call. I help assist/coach my clients with delivery at the hospital however long that may be.I don't have to do shift change. I am present during labor till a few hours after.I help support clients that decide on natural birth, epidural or C section. Postpartum clients usually feel they no longer need men after a couple hours. Most times this is natural for the family unit to adjust and adapt to normal everyday life. However, I also offer packages for postpartum newborn aftercare where I can assist with breastfeeding and overnight care of the newborn. My passion in life is the celebration of mothers. Hello and welcome! My name is Nathalie Munro, I am an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I trained as a Nurse, specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing and in more recent years, working with post partum families within the hospital setting. Over my 23 year career, I have been fortunate enough to have worked in the UK, New Zealand and Canada, finally settling in beautiful British Columbia. I am based in North Vancouver, married, and have two rambunctious boys aged 5 and 8. Having been through the incredible breastfeeding journey myself, (though at times its has been like more of a rollercoaster!) I have an understanding of the challenges you may be facing as new or seasoned parents with your feeding journey. Remember that when we are told 'It comes naturally', this doesn't always mean, 'it comes easily!' That's the hard truth and something I can definitely relate to. ​ Over the years, I have supported hundreds of families discover the joys of breast feeding. Through my work with newborn and premature infants, I realized how vital this education is not just in those precious first days, but in the many subsequent months ahead. I’m a caring, calm, and practical family support provider with a diverse professional background in healthcare, childcare, aquatics, first aid, and community work. I spent 12 years working in healthcare with at-risk youth and older adults, and I’m currently completing my Full Spectrum Doula training through Doula School Canada, including postpartum care. I bring that combination of healthcare experience, safety knowledge, and hands-on family support into the way I care for both parents and children. My approach is very individual. I don’t believe there is one “right” way to parent, recover, feed a baby, build a routine, or support a child. I believe in meeting families where they are, listening before assuming, and helping people feel more confident in their own abilities rather than stepping in and trying to take over or “fix” things. Sometimes support means practical help, sometimes it means information or reassurance, and sometimes it means recognizing that someone is exhausted and needs a meal, a shower, a few uninterrupted hours of sleep, or simply another capable adult in the room. With children, I’m calm, creative, and very hands-on. I encourage age-appropriate independence, I’m patient about mistakes, happy to answer approximately nine million questions, and generally not bothered by a little mud, paint, flour, or chaos along the way. I also have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and youth and take an individualized, trauma-informed approach to communication, routines, sensory needs, and emotional regulation. Ultimately, I want the families I support to feel safe, respected, listened to, and more confident — not judged or managed. I am a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Maternity Care, including Obstetrics, Labour & Delivery, and Postpartum Nursing, with more than 10 years of combined international midwifery and Canadian nursing experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, specialized perinatal nursing education from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), and a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from a well-known medical sciences university. I have maintained strong academic performance throughout my education. Throughout my career, I have supported thousands of mothers and newborns during pregnancy, labour, birth, postpartum recovery, and the early newborn period. As a registered midwife, I independently attended a large number of births and gained extensive experience managing both routine deliveries and complex or urgent obstetrical situations. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-informed, and safety-focused maternity care while helping mothers and families feel supported, informed, and confident during one of the most important stages of their lives.
