Looking for support want at home birth but an experienced midwife to know if I need to be rushed to a hospital, if excess / abnormal bleeding post birth. Postpartum care or night nurse severe depression with first child with no medication support.
I plan to give birth at home. I moved to lake charles, louisiana about 4 months ago from nc. I have 3 children and have always had medicaid as my insurance provider, however, medicaid has only been approved for my 2 oldest children. I've filed for an appeal and have my hearing on july 21st. I discovered I was pregnant a little over a week ago and am hoping the judge approves my appeal. From my understanding, medicaid pays for the midwife but the recipient is responsible for paying the cost of the supplies and equipment needed during delivery, the midwives assistance and other things. If the judge denies me medicaid coverage, I will find an insurance provider. I can make monthly payments for 8 months towards $2,000, preferably bi-weekly payments of $125 for 8 months. My birth plan is very simple, deliver a healthy baby. It's only me, my three children and their father here in Louisiana. I am not sure if my children's father will be able to take work off before, during or after the delivery, therefore, I'll try my best to find a caregiver for my children near the baby's due date
