A DONA-trained doula, former student midwife, and lactation educator, Krissy brings a perspective few can match. She has personally birthed 13 children across home, birth center, and hospital settings, including natural, medicated, induced, and medically complex births. Alongside her late husband, a trained midwife, she relocated her family to serve and volunteer at birth centers along the U.S.–Mexico border, where their shared commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care deepened. Having supported families in birth settings while also navigating more than 14 major healthcare systems through her own family's serious medical challenges, Krissy has experienced healthcare from both the provider and patient sides of the system.
