About me

Hi! I am Rebecca Stiglitz from Bolingbook, IL. I started my postpartum doula journey when I lost my teaching job due to my school closing. As a postpartum doula, I am blessed to mother the mother. My job is to take care of you first, the baby second, and then the rest of the family. Think of me as your best friend that comes in and gets right to work. I believe that mom needs rest and if mom is well rested, the family will be at peace.

We are so grateful Rebecca and the care she provided for our newborn and toddler. She brought a calm, supportive presence that made our transition so much smoother. She was incredibly knowledgeable with our newborn and so thoughtful and engaging with our toddler, helping everyone feel secure and cared for. Her support made a huge difference during our postpartum period, and we truly couldn’t have done it without her. Highly recommend.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Rebecca. I found her after posting in the Plainfield Moms Facebook group a few months before my delivery, when I was desperately trying to find reliable care for my 3 year old during my delivery. Rebecca came highly recommended by several commenters on the page. My husband and family live too far away or were unable to be primary caregivers during my delivery, and I was feeling incredibly anxious about how we would manage. Rebecca provides sibling care as part of helping as a doula and from the moment we connected, she put me at ease. When the time came for my C-section, she cared for our daughter and supported us through the aftercare process. She was calm, attentive, and so loving with our daughter. Rebecca also helped with household chores so it was less things for my husband and I to need to worry about. Knowing my daughter was safe, happy, and well cared for allowed me to focus on my surgery and recovery without worry. Her presence was truly invaluable, and I don’t know how we would have gotten through that experience without her. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to any family looking for compassionate, dependable, and genuinely wonderful support.

When our little one was just two days old, Rebecca came into our home, and I can honestly say she was a lifesaver during that first month. Trusting someone new at such a vulnerable time isn’t easy, but Rebecca immediately made me feel safe and supported. As a mother of two with a newborn and a toddler, sleep was more important than ever. Rebecca handled overnight care so my husband and I could truly rest, waking the baby as needed for feeds and soothing in between. I would wake up to folded laundry, clean dishes, and a sense of peace almost like a fairy godmother had swept through the house overnight. Beyond the practical help, what meant the most was her warmth and reassurance. As a mother of three herself, she shared wisdom without judgment and helped me feel confident in caring for my newborn while still having the energy to show up for my toddler. Rebecca was also the one who encouraged me to seek medical attention when I had concerning blood pressure symptoms. I will forever be grateful for her attentiveness and care in that moment. Her presence in our home was nothing short of a gift. If you are considering overnight support, I cannot recommend Rebecca enough! She made our early days calmer, safer, and filled with confidence <3
