I want my birth to be at my apartment or my auntie’s house as in a home birth. I would like a oxygen face mask and I want my midwife to have a birth pool. My estimated budget will be 4,500 - 6,800 I would prefer in payments.
I had a miscarriage August 4th I finally found out I’m pregnant at 3w I’m 4 weeks now with an hcg of 1353 I just wanted to have a transvaginal so I can see a sac or baby and I also just believe strongly in having a midwife I’m 20 so I’m young and I just need some guidance
I’m looking for a midwife who provides compassionate, personalized prenatal care and makes me feel heard, understood, and supported throughout my pregnancy. I want to build a trusting relationship with a provider who listens to my concerns, takes the time to understand my experiences, and involves me in decisions about my care rather than making assumptions about me. I’ve felt that my concerns haven’t been fully heard by my current OB, particularly regarding my mental health. I’ve repeatedly explained that I don’t feel depressed, but I feel that antidepressants continue to be the focus instead of taking the time to understand what I’m actually experiencing. I want a provider who approaches these conversations with an open mind, respects my perspective, and works with me to explore appropriate options without making me feel pressured into a particular treatment. I also have a history of marijuana use, but I stopped smoking when I found out I was pregnant and have remained sober. Despite this, I’ve felt judged and repeatedly accused of continuing to smoke because of positive THC tests. I’ve been experiencing recurring episodes of cyclical nausea and vomiting, but I feel these symptoms have been attributed to marijuana use and my positive test results rather than being thoroughly evaluated as their own medical concern. I understand that my history is medically relevant, and I’m willing to be honest and transparent about it, but I also want a provider who recognizes that a positive THC test does not automatically establish ongoing use and who takes the time to investigate my symptoms instead of making assumptions. I’m looking for a midwife who will advocate for me, take my physical and emotional well-being seriously, and help me feel safe discussing difficult topics without fear of being judged. I value open communication, evidence-based care, informed decision-making, and a provider who sees me as a whole person rather than defining me by my past. Most importantly, I want to feel respected, supported, and involved in my pregnancy journey as I prepare to become a mother.
This is my first pregnancy, and I’d like to explore holistic options vs traditional OB And hospital births. I do not know a lot about midwivery besides some initial research but would like to explore that route for our care. Midwifery services is my primary concern, but also would like to learn about doula services and lactation services to see if that’s a good option for me too. would prefer birth center or home birth (water birth) Have Aetna insurance so prefer to use that, otherwise will pay OOP/look at financing options.
unmedicated and comfortable at home currently uninsured, but hoping to change that in the next couple of months! would like to keep out of pocket costs under $5000
Birth center, not sure of my budget yet, trying to at options for making a birth plan that sounds good for me. Unsure of what I want. I definitely want a natural birth though.
This is my first baby. I’m looking to transition from a hospital birth to a home birth. I want someone who will support and train me through an unmedicated birth. I’m 21 weeks, and budget is ~$3,000-4,500, for everything hopefully.
I was trying to have birth in a birthing center but I am not sure if my insurance covers that but I would like a midwife for my appointments and for my hospital birth. This will be my 3rd baby, and I really want to try something different. I am very strong minded during birth and I loved the experience with my first 2. Now I just want to try to do it without medicine and I want me and my husband to have an intimate time together. I was induced both pregnancies. I tend to lose fluid at the end which leads to inducing me early that’s really the only thing that was an issue for me. Insurance: I have United health care choice plus HSA through my job. Budget: not really sure. I asked another birthing center and they were asking $750 a month and that’s just really expensive.
This is my first pregnancy and everything is going well thus far, currently 19 weeks. I would prefer a home birth, but am also open to a birthing center. I would like to avoid a hospital setting if possible. I plan to have a natural birth. I have BCBS of Texas Copay PPO insurance through my employer. I have HSA funds available as well.
I am unsure of what I need. I am still trying to figure this out. I'll revisit the budget and stuff soon.
Someone to help deliver the child that is highly knowledgeable in in how to do so. Plan to give birth at home and my budget is less than $0.00 I have absolutely no money.
I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and I was denied medicaid. I do not have insurance and I am on a tight budget due to my expenses and bills, and I am inquiring about pricing and payment plans. I want to do a home birth, my estimated budget depends on how long I can do a payment plan for. I want a birthing pool as well
I have had 3 csections I would like to push this baby out since it would be my last but seems like that is very unlikely this pregnancy is much different than my others I am very emotional I cry for no reason
Finding a midwife and doula covered by tricare. I would prefer home or a birth center.
I am a first-time mom, currently 15 weeks pregnant, looking for a midwife who can support me through my pregnancy and assist with a planned home water birth. My goal is to have a natural, unmedicated delivery in a peaceful, comfortable, and faith-centered environment where prayer and my relationship with Jesus are welcomed. I am looking for a midwife who is patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and hands-on, who will educate me throughout my pregnancy, help me create a birth plan, prepare me for labor, and provide emotional and physical support during delivery. I would also like support with postpartum recovery and establishing a breast milk pumping routine, as I plan to exclusively pump rather than directly breastfeed. As a first-time mom, I want someone who will answer my questions, respect my wishes, involve me in decisions, and prioritize the safety of both me and my baby. My budget for midwifery care is 4000, and I am hoping to find someone who offers a comprehensive home-birth package or flexible payment options within that budget.
almost 30 weeks along, looking for a midwife and/or OBGYN for help with the birth process.
