Hey there! My name is Naomi Carrington. I am a Certified Birth and Postpartum doula, Breastfeeding Counselor and Childbirth Educator in Louisburg, serving the greater Raleigh Triangle area. I'm passionate about childbirth, mamas, and babies, and I've dedicated my life to helping families experience a birth and postpartum beyond their expectations. Birth does not have to be seen as a fearful thing, but something women were designed for. Living overseas has helped to shape who I am today and the services I offer. Over the past few years I have mainly attended home births which is my 'happy place'. But no matter where you plan to deliver, I guide my clients in preparing both their minds and bodies for labor and offer full informed support of their choices. A few things that I impart to families are: education, the importance of body balancing, whole food diet and mental preparedness. Knowledge is power and a big part of what I do. Over the years, I have attended over 85 births and taught several classes. In my free time you can find me reading, working out, enjoying an iced coffee, working in the garden, with our many animals or cooking in the kitchen. I am from a big family and love making memories with them! I'd love to connect and discuss how we can meet your goals for your dream birth, postpartum or class experience!

Recent review

Having Naomi be there for my second birth was a huge blessing. She helped me be even more confident in my body and myself to be able to achieve the natural birth I was going for. She helped guide me to do certain stretches and exercises to help baby be in the optimal positioning for birth. She made my birth as enjoyable as a hospital birth could be.

I have been a Birth Doula since 2014 and a Fertility Educator since 2016. I am passionate about helping women understand their bodies better from preconception through postpartum. I was inspired by my own experiences throughout my 4 pregnancies and have worked with clients from all backgrounds and delivery scenarios including, but not limited to: hospital, birth center, home birth, c-sections, VBACs, medicated, Un-medicated, multiples, high-risk, micro-preemies, and adoption (birth and/or adoptive parent support). As a Doula, my goal is to help my clients experience the birth of their dreams. My training is body-centric and focused on optimizing fetal positioning for a more comfortable pregnancy, smoother delivery, and better postpartum recovery. I am hands on and often provide comforting touch and release work. As a Fertility Educator I support clients who want to better understand their menstrual cycle to either avoid or achieve pregnancy through private, virtual classes.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tara! She was such an incredible source of support throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. From answering my questions and helping me prepare for a home birth to being there with us throughout labor, she was always encouraging, knowledgeable, calm, and reassuring. Having her by my side during my birth was such a comfort. She helped me and my husband feel confident, supported, and prepared, and I’m so grateful for the encouragement and care she gave me throughout the entire experience. Choosing her as our doula was one of the best decisions we made. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula who will truly support and encourage you throughout pregnancy and birth!

Hiring Josie from Living Water Doula Care for my second C-section was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My first C-section was an emergency and left me with significant birth trauma and anxiety that I didn’t fully understand until my second pregnancy, but then I met Josie and she completely transformed my experience. Before my C-section, she helped me process my first birth and identify where my trauma was rooted. She also helped create a calm, peaceful home for me to return to after delivery. On the day of my C-section, Josie was my anchor, and recognized my anxiety even when I tried to hide it and made sure my concerns were heard. I was terrified of the spinal, but she advocated for me with the medical team and encouraged them to explain each step, helping me feel safe and informed. Her calming presence changed the entire atmosphere of the room. She also supported my partner, a first-time dad, helping him feel included and at ease. After surgery, I experienced intense pain, and Josie continued to show up for me, even coming to the hospital in the middle of the night. She helped me manage my pain through breathing techniques, physical comfort, and emotional support. When I felt overwhelmed after being moved to a smaller room, she once again advocated for me and helped me feel safe. Coming home was just as meaningful. Josie had prepared my space, making it feel warm, peaceful, and restorative. Her postpartum care helped me slow down, release guilt, and focus on healing. Josie doesn’t just support birth—she honors it. She didn’t just support me through my C-section; she helped me heal from past trauma. Before hiring her, I wasn’t sure a doula was necessary for a C-section. Now I can confidently say it was one of the most important decisions I’ve ever made. Because of Josie, I no longer fear growing my family, and I’m forever grateful for the role she played in my healing journey.

Selena Nguyen

Hello! I’m Selena, a passionate postpartum doula dedicated to helping families navigate the beautiful, chaotic, and transformative days of early parenthood. I approach doula care with a bubbly, bright, and deeply nurturing energy—meaning I am just as ready to lift your spirits with a smile as I am to hold a quiet, supportive space for you when you just need to rest. My goal is to walk into your home and instantly lower the baseline stress. Whether that means preparing a nourishing snack, setting up a seamless pumping station, or simply listening to your birth story with zero judgment, I am there to ensure you feel entirely seen, safe, and cared for. The "Experienced Mom" Advantage Beyond my professional training, my deepest expertise comes from my own lived experience. I am an experienced mother to two wonderful children, aged 2 and 6. I know firsthand exactly what those early weeks feel like. I remember the sleep deprivation, the vulnerability, and the overwhelming love. Because I am currently raising a toddler and a school-aged child, I have fresh, real-world knowledge of: The delicate art of managing sibling transitions (helping older siblings feel loved and included). Practical, modern newborn soothing techniques that actually work. The realities of balancing self-care with the demands of a growing family. I don’t just bring textbook knowledge into your home; I bring real, battle-tested mother's intuition and practical wisdom. My Philosophy & Support Style I believe that the "fourth trimester" is a sacred time that deserves immense tenderness. I tailor my care entirely to your family's unique rhythm, always aiming to leave you feeling more confident than I found you. What I bring to your family: A Nurturing Presence: Calm, gentle care that allows you to let your guard down and recover physically and emotionally. Bubbly Optimism: An encouraging, positive attitude that infuses your home with warmth and reassurance, even after a long night. Practical Magic: From organizing the nursery to organizing your day, I jump in wherever hands are needed most. Services Offered Daytime postpartum adjustment and emotional check-ins. Newborn care education (swaddling, soothing, bathing). Feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, or formula feeding guidance). Light household organization, meal prep, and sibling integration support.

From the moment she walked through the door, Selena brought a sense of calm that instantly eased our new-parent anxiety. She has an incredible intuition for exactly what a healing mother and a newborn need. Whether she was subtly managing the household chaos, preparing nourishing meals, or offering evidence-based guidance on infant sleep and feeding, she did it all with zero judgment and a massive heart. What truly sets Selena apart is how she cares for the entire family unit. She didn't just take care of the baby so we could sleep (though her overnight support is pure magic); she mothered me when I needed it most, holding space for the intense emotions of the fourth trimester. Because of Selena, we didn’t just survive the postpartum period—we actually got to slow down, heal, and bond with our baby. She is professional, deeply knowledgeable, endlessly compassionate, and feels like family by the time her shift ends.

We had an amazing experience having Grace as our doula! She carries herself with confidence and joy as she helped us navigate preparation and birth. Grace always made herself available to me as a first time mom who had lots of questions. She was quick to respond and willing to help me learn! I think one of the many blessings from Grace, was that in our delivery room she created a really peaceful and beautiful environment by setting up a diffuser and candle lights in the room! Grace was a really valuable part of our first birth experience!

I have supported many families including first time parents to fourth time parents. I have assisted families with support during scheduled inductions, TOLAC/VBAC, planned and unplanned C-sections. I have assisted families with unmedicated and medicated births. I am also a Certified Postpartum Doula and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (IBCLC Student). If you are on the fence about including Bridgette in your birth and postpartum journey, let this be your sign to absolutely do it. As a first time mom, she provided care and love for me and my family in ways I didn’t even know I needed. She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes a team based approach in every decision. I had no qualms or hesitations about placing my trust in her because at the end of the day I knew she had my back all the way from her birth/breastfeeding classes to every step throughout labor. Although my birth experience did not go the way we had planned, I wouldn’t be able to look back at my experience as positively as I do if not for her. She genuinely felt like a big sister and best friend throughout the whole experience. Even my husband, as he recounts our birth experience, sings her high praises and felt incredibly supported by her as well. Because of her, he even goes around telling new parents that they have to get a Doula because of how amazing Bridgette was. I genuinely feel like we were meant to cross paths and now my life and experience as a parent is better because of her. Seriously, she’s amazing. You would be remiss not to have her on your team.

Those early days (and nights!) with a newborn can be beautiful, overwhelming, and everything in between. I’m here to be a calm and steady presence, someone who shows up with open arms, a listening ear, and a helping hand. Through Melodies in Bloom Doula Services, I offer both daytime and overnight support. Whether you need extra rest, help with newborn care, or just someone to talk to during a 3 a.m. feeding, I’ve got you. My goal is to support you in a way that feels natural and empowering, like having a good friend who happens to know a lot about babies! You’ve got this… and I’ve got you.

I cannot recommend Trisha highly enough. From the very beginning, she was an incredible source of steady guidance and reassurance as I navigated the unknowns of new motherhood. Her depth of knowledge, calm presence, and thoughtful support made such a meaningful difference during a vulnerable and transformative time. She was always punctual, professional, and completely reliable—but what truly set her apart was the genuine care she showed for our family. She took the time to listen and to support me not just physically, but emotionally. She anticipated needs I didn’t even know I had yet and helped me feel more confident, capable, and at peace in my role as a new mother. Over time, she became far more than just our doula—she became a trusted confidante and a dear friend. Her presence brought comfort and warmth into our home, and I will always be deeply grateful for the role she played in our postpartum journey. Any family would be extraordinarily lucky to have her by their side.

I truly couldn’t have asked for a better doula. From the very beginning, she made me feel heard, supported, and respected. She always took the time to answer my questions, reassure me, and help me feel confident in the decisions I made for my birth. During labor and delivery, she was such a calming presence. She advocated for me when needed, encouraged me every step of the way, and helped me stay focused through one of the most important days of my life. I never felt alone because I knew she was there for me. Even after my baby was born, her support didn’t stop. She continued to check in on me and made sure both my baby and I were doing well. Her kindness, knowledge, and genuine care meant more to me than words can express. If you’re looking for someone who will truly support you, empower you, and make you feel cared for throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey, I wholeheartedly recommend her. She helped make my birth experience so much more positive, and I’ll always be grateful for everything she did for me. Thank you for being such an incredible part of our journey!
