About me

Hi there! I’m Sam, a holistic birth and postpartum doula called to walk alongside ALL women and families through the sacred journey of pregnancy, birth, and new motherhood with love and compassion. I believe birth is a God-designed miracle—an experience that invites us to lean into trust, surrender, and the deep wisdom He’s placed within our bodies. As a doula, I support natural, low-intervention birth whenever possible, offering gentle, holistic care rooted in God’s creation. From nourishing foods and herbal remedies to essential oils, prayer, and emotional support, I bring a whole-body approach that honors both the spiritual and physical needs of the birthing woman. Whether you're planning a home birth, hospital birth, or something in between, I’m here to support you with grace, encouragement, and evidence-based care. My mission is to create a peaceful and personal birth space where you feel safe, seen, and empowered—reminding you that your body was beautifully and fearfully made to bring life into this world. I consider it an honor to advocate for you, and be a steady presence as you welcome your baby. I work with women of ALL backgrounds who desire a birth experience rooted in love, faith and trust. If you're seeking a doula who will speak truth, honor your values, and walk this journey hand-in-hand, I’d love to meet you. Let’s connect and see how I can serve and support you in this beautiful season of life!

I had an incredibly intense experience in April 2024 when I gave birth to my son. I had planned to deliver at a midwifery center, but after arriving there in labor, it was believed that my labor had stalled, so I was sent home to rest. After a few hours of sleeping through contractions, I woke up in the middle of the night realizing that my baby was coming much sooner than expected. I immediately called Sam, and she arrived at my house within minutes. We initially planned to head back to the midwifery center, but it quickly became clear that I wasn’t going to make it in time. We moved into the bathroom, and I could feel my baby descending. In that moment, it was just the two of us. I had an overwhelming urge to push, and with one push, Sam calmly caught my baby. She remained composed as she gently unwrapped the cord from around his neck, wrapped him in warm towels, and helped stimulate him to cry. Her calm presence, quick thinking, and skill made all the difference in such a critical moment. I truly believe that without her there, the situation could have turned out very differently. I am beyond grateful for her care and for the way she supported me through such an intense and unforgettable experience.

I was sent straight to the hospital from a doctor’s appointment to be induced, while my significant other was still out of town trying to make it back in time. I was extremely nervous and emotional about the situation, especially knowing he might not be there for the birth. Sam met me at the hospital right away, and I’m so grateful she did. Labor progressed very quickly, and I wasn’t prepared for how intense full back labor would be. Sam stayed by my side through the hardest moments, calmly guiding me and helping me stay focused using different techniques to help through each contraction. When things became overwhelming and I truly didn’t think I could make it through the final contractions, I remember her holding my hand and hearing her voice reminding me that I could do it. That made all the difference. Even though my husband wasn’t able to be there in time, having Sam’s support gave me comfort and strength when I needed it most. Her care, presence, and reassurance were truly outstanding, and I’m so thankful for her.
