Hi! My name is Julianna, and I am a birth + postpartum doula and reproductive health educator based in San Diego, California. I am deeply passionate about supporting people through their fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and transition into parenthood with care that is informed, grounded, and non-judgmental. My approach blends evidence-based education with intuitive, hands-on support, honoring both the physiological process of birth and the emotional experience that comes with it. I believe that when parents feel informed, respected, and supported in their choices, birth and postpartum can feel more empowering and less overwhelming. I strive to create a calm, affirming space where clients feel safe to ask questions, explore options, and trust their bodies. In addition to doula care, my background in fertility awareness and reproductive health education shapes how I support clients holistically—from conception and pregnancy through postpartum recovery. In my free time, I love being outdoors, moving my body, and grounding myself in simple routines that nourish both body and mind.

I am here to help you have the birth experience you want. Whether it is an unmedicated birth, or you get an epidural, you are at home or at a hospital. I am here to support you. I am not here to judge anyone’s decisions or beliefs. My job is to support you in your choices. It is your birth experience let’s do it your way. When it comes to my clients I like to have a gentle touch, and a grounding presence. I also find adding in a dash of humor here and there helps lighten the mood. I am a strong ally of the LBGTQIA+ community, and would be more than happy to take on and support any clients who are part of that community. My doula experience began at UCSD through the Hearts and Hands program, and I still volunteer there today. I have taken childbirth education classes, breastfeeding classes, Newborn Care classes, and I am Infant CPR and First Aid certified.

I am a certified professional/licensed midwife since 2021 in Minnesota and South Dakota, and more recently California. I have been in the birth world since 2006 as a doula, certified lactation counselor, childbirth educator and midwifery apprentice. Azure is a Southern California native with a deep commitment to supporting women and families through pregnancy and birth. Motivated by her belief in the blessing of every new life, she began her academic journey at UCLA with plans to become an OB/GYN. After graduation, she volunteered in labor and delivery units and worked in medical offices, where she gained valuable experience while also recognizing gaps in care — particularly for Black women. That realization led her to become a doula, where she supported her very first client through a successful vaginal birth after three cesareans. This experience deepened her commitment to advocacy and highlighted the need for care models that offer more informed and personalized support. Seeking to expand her knowledge and scope of care, Azure pursued midwifery. She is currently a third year student midwife at the National Midwifery Institute. She is committed to providing compassionate, informed, and culturally grounded care, and views birth as a transformative experience that deserves respect, intention, and support. Azure is especially passionate about honoring ancestral traditions in birth work, studying botanical medicine, and improving maternal health outcomes within her community. Outside of her studies, she mentors foster youth through Promises2Kids’ Guardian Scholars program. She also enjoys spending time with family, recharging at the beach, reading, and hiking.

Hi! I’m a homeschooling, crunchy mama to 7 children, ranging in ages from 22 down to 12! I love babies, animals, plants, and Disneyland! I live in OC with my three amazing children! If I’m not at a birth, you will find us at the beach surfing, playing, and enjoying the outdoors. I fell in love with all things birth when I became pregnant with my 1st child in 2008. As an avid reader and researcher, I made it my goal to learn everything I possibly could about the biology and physiology of birth, and how to have optimal health during and after pregnancy for both me and my baby. Like many first-time moms I have worked with, I had hesitations about giving birth to my 1st baby outside of a hospital setting. After all my research, classes, and conversations with midwives, I gained confidence in aiming for an unmedicated birthing experience. I found some lovely midwifes who had a midwifery ward in a hospital and gave birth to my 1st son unmedicated. Twenty-four hours of intense back labor from a posterior-positioned baby …but, I did it! My body actually did it! After birthing my first, statistically knowing it was the most challenging and longest labor, gave me confidence to choose home births for my second and third children. I had a successful home water birth with my second child and wanted to repeat that with my third. However, while laboring on the toilet with him, I suddenly dropped to my knees when he began to crown, and he became known as my bathroom floor “butter birth” baby :). Though I chose unmedicated births for myself, I do know it is not for everyone, which is more than OK! I quickly learned from my role as a doula that every woman’s body, medical history, and background are uniquely different. Many factors play into choosing the right birth for you. I am here to come alongside you, help you make an informed decision, and then support you every step of the way. I offer very personable and compassionate care. My approach is non-agenda-based, trauma-informed, and holistic-minded. No matter your history or past experiences, I am here to be a safe place for you. I will help educate, support, and advocate for you and your personal wishes.
