I will be giving birth at the Naval hospital in Camp Pendleton. Hoping to find someone who is covered under my insurance-Tricare prime. I am trying for an unmedicated birth, but am open to intervention if things aren’t proceeding as planned. Still in need of education for myself and partner for birth prep. I am a NICU nurse, but husband wants to be involved. I am used to the baby side of things, but not laboring!! Also would love lactation advice after.

I’m not sure which hospital out of loma linda, rancho, or Kaiser riverside so I’d like help with that decision as well. I have Kaiser that covers doula services so I’m not sure how to go about pay for that or how it works but want to learn more. I’m a also a first time mom and didn’t even know people went into labor with a “plan” so any information and guidance on what would be best as a black mom for maternal healthcare and for a black infant would be appreciated.

I am interested and looking for a midwife in the Southern California region who will take care of a prenatal appointments and assist in home birth. I am looking to keep the budget low but will spend what I need. Also looking forward a midwife that accepts tricare.
