I’m planning to give birth in a hospital, but I’m hoping for a low-intervention experience and would like to pursue an unmedicated/natural birth if everything is progressing safely. I’m looking for a doula who is very scientific/evidence-based and can help my husband and me prepare ahead of time, including developing a thoughtful birth plan and understanding our options and preferences around common hospital interventions. I’d also really value someone who can help educate us on the decisions we’ll need to make for the baby immediately after birth—things like routine newborn medications and vaccines, delayed cord clamping, skin-to-skin, bathing, newborn screenings, and other standard hospital practices—so we can understand the evidence, benefits and tradeoffs and make informed decisions with our medical team ahead of time. During labor and delivery, I’d love someone who can provide hands-on support, help with positioning and pain-management techniques, coach both me and my husband, and help us navigate decisions that come up while still working collaboratively with my medical team. I’m also interested in some postpartum support, ideally 1–2 visits after we’re home to check in on how both the baby and I are doing and help us navigate the early transition. Breastfeeding is important to me, so experience with lactation and practical breastfeeding support would be especially valuable.

I plan to have a home birth with doula. This will be my second birth- I had my first one at a birth center.

This is my second baby, planning birth at Austin hospital but do not live in Austin. Somebody who offers virtual visits as well as in-person would be great. Would like to have an unmedicated birth, emotional support as baby will likely need surgery after birth (this will not affect my physical labor) and help for my husband on how to best support me throughout labor. Hi I’m Caroline! I’m 27 years old, due November 25, an army wife, and this baby will be my first. I am nervous about a few aspects of birth-I’d like someone who can help guide me and tell me my options, help me labor as much as possible at home, and can help advocate for me in the hospital while helping me make informed decisions. Unsure about whether I want natural or epidural; I would prefer natural at this point but I’ve never experienced birth pain before so I want the ability to be flexible. Since I’m an army spouse, I’d need someone who can join me on post at BAMC. Based on other friends experiences, my expected budget is somewhere around $1,200. As far as birth plans go, I don’t know much since I’m still very early on. I do hope to labor as much as possible at home as I’m pretty scared of hospitals. I’d love to hear what some options are for birth plans.

Having my first baby after recurrent miscarriages. Planning to give birth within a birth center or hospital striving for a healthy, natural birth and currently I am 17 weeks pregnant. Hi! I’m currently 34+ weeks pregnant with a due date of October 26, 2026, (that’s my 39th week, an induction was scheduled on that date) and I’m looking for birth doula support in Austin. I realize I’m reaching out quite late, but I’m wondering if you have any availability or a backup/team doula available for my birth. I’m planning a hospital birth and would love continuous labor support. Do you have any openings or cancellations for late October?

I am needing a new OBGYN that is a female as well as a foula that is covered by my insurance. I have been labeled a high risk pregnancy and I have concerns my OBGYN is going to try and force me out of my birth plans. Due Jan 9th 2027. Plan on hospital birth (only for emergencies if needed and meds if needed). I want to go as long as I can without meds, up and moving, yoga balls, and try different positions with labor including if an epidural is needed. (I don't want to lay in a bed and be miserable during contractions. I also don't want to push on my back.) I would need someone who is willing to set up a payment plan. Idk what the normal fees are but around $3,000 is what I could do. I am up for anyone as long as they are willing to be in my corner. Insurance is a Blue Cross Blue shield PPO.

I’m a first time mom 22 weeks pregnant and I’m giving birth at north central Baptist hospital in stone oak. It’s in my birth plan to labor until I can’t tolerate the pain any longer, I am okay with an epidural and other medication if medically necessary but I would like to labor without pitocin I intend on a vaginal birth however if I C-section becomes medically necessary and urgent I am open to that. I intend on exclusively pumping as I intend on going back to work 10-15 weeks after baby is born. I do not want to breastfeed or latch. I would prefer in person visits, if virtual visits are necessary or visits can be done virtually that is okay. I don’t know what to expect from a midwife or doula that an OBGYN wouldn’t offer as this is my first child. I’m have concerns for pumping because I’m larger chested and am afraid of sizing improperly, or pumping improperly. Any information would be incredibly helpful.
