I'm looking for a home birth midwife or a doula that will support an unassisted home birth. I'm hoping to find somone that will be affordable. We have Ahcccs.

Would like to give birth at home or at birthing center with minimal interventions

I want to be as comfortable as possible during birth. I plan to do it at a hospital or birthing center.

1. I have the option to deliver at my workplace UCI Medical Center in Orange CA and have a few options near Tempe/Chandler/Gilbert AZ 2. My budget is to use coinsurance from my Anthem PPO (BCBS) for prenatal care and may prefer not to have global billing 3. This is my second baby after an uncomplicated vaginal first birth with epidural. I am interested in exploring options that lower my out of pocket cost with ppo and would love a prenatal provider who can support the idea of the delivery happening at my own workplace which has its delivering providers on-call for rotation (with a backup plan close by in AZ)

So this is my first time looking into anything, I don’t really know the cost in which Doulas usually range from! Also this is my first birth so I don’t have a plan or really know much!

My most important priorities and concerns are that baby isn’t affected by my health issues during or after pregnancy. I have psoriatic disease, hashimotos disease, endometriosis, plaque psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis. I’m very holistic and all about low stress and the body can heal itself. Can you help me find certified individuals that share my values and who specialize in high risk pregnancy? I would love a home birth but not sure if that’s possible because I’m high risk. No budget. I’m 30 and this is my first pregnancy. I got three faint positive home tests 18 days after ovulation (April 20). My last period started on March 20. --- Health history: No ongoing medical or mental-health conditions. No past surgeries or hospital stays. No family history of birth defects, blood-clot problems, pre-eclampsia, or twins. --- Medications & supplements: Just an over-the-counter prenatal vitamin. --- Allergies: None to medicines, latex, foods, or the environment. --- Lifestyle & work: I don’t smoke, drink alcohol, or use cannabis or other drugs. Caffeine is very light (well under 200 mg a day). I work as a hospital respiratory therapist, so I’m around coughs, colds, and the odd portable chest X-ray. No cats at home. --- Travel & scheduling: I’m starting a 13-week travel contract in June (I’ll be about 14–17 weeks pregnant). I’ll be driving there and back and would like advice on car-travel safety and how to handle prenatal visits while I’m away. --- Birth preferences & insurance: Insurance: Aetna Medical HDHP Value (ACA). I can cover costs that aren’t included. Looking for a freestanding birth center with hospital backup with midwife clearance. Interested in hypnobirthing. My boyfriend will come to appointments and be there for the birth. --- Main questions/concerns: Because the home tests were faint, I’d like to double-check that everything is progressing with blood work and/or an early ultrasound.
