Hello! My name is Sheilena and I am a full spectrum doula, birth photographer, placenta specialist, herbalist, student midwife and lactation educator. I serve families in the Puget Sound area and pride myself on taking a whole person and holistic approach when supporting my clients, balancing natural/physiological methods with western medicine. Each client gets an individualized approach as I use my variety of skills, experience and knowledge to support them in ways that feels best to them, but still encompasses advocacy, physical and emotional support, education and more.

I feel so lucky to have had Sheilena as my doula. From the very beginning, she was incredibly professional, responsive, and patient. During our initial conversations and prenatal Zoom sessions, she took the time to answer all of my questions — even the most random ones — with genuine care and respect. As a first-time mom, that meant so much to me. When my water broke in the middle of the night, Sheilena stayed in close contact with me over text the entire time. Even while she was on duty, she proactively looped in her backup doulas, who were all equally reliable and supportive. Together, they reassured me, helped me assess my situation, and guided me on when it was appropriate to rest at home and when to communicate with my medical team about pain management. Despite having attended multiple births and likely being exhausted, Sheilena showed up fully present for me before I received my epidural. She helped prepare a bath and spent hours providing hands-on support and massage to ease my pain — something I will never forget. During labor, she continued to advocate for me and communicate my needs clearly with the medical staff, especially when I was feeling nauseous from Pitocin. Her emotional support, reassurance, and attentiveness made such a difference in helping me feel safe and cared for. As a beautiful final touch, she shared so many precious photos from the birth — memories that I will cherish forever. Overall, I’m deeply grateful for her presence and support throughout my birth experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula.

Sage was a dream come true for us. I was so deeply appreciative of the updates, the communication, the honesty, the positivity, and the trust that Sage was able to provide for us while caring for our baby while we were on a work trip. My two older children were also so impressed by Sage and really enjoyed all of their interactions. We recommend Sage wholeheartedly and with absolute confidence. The peace of mind and comfort Sage was able to give us during what could've been a really nerve-wracking time is something I will always be grateful for and never forget.

I practice trauma informed, perinatal, birth, and postpartum support for all birthing bodies, couples, single and single by choice parents, adoptive parents, and families on their surrogacy journeys. My support is queer competent, weight inclusive and intersectional, and it is always my priority to support people getting the care that helps them feel safe and seen, essential to the health and wellness of both baby and family. I know first hand how beautiful, challenging and exhausting childbirth and parenting is, and I come with a wealth of personal and professional experience to share with you.

Melanie Guymon is a superb CFSD. She spent nights with our little bub for 2+months, she gave us a reprieve and support during the difficult newborn days hard. We had a colicliky baby and Melanie not only helped us advocate to our doctors that our baby might have reflux, but she also gave us superb tips on how to help ease her discomfort at night and during the day. During her time with us Melabie also helped us prepare our baby to move out of the swaddle, and due to her tips, our baby seamlessly transitioned from her Snoo + bassinet and into her crib and a sleep sack. She continued to support us with sleep coaching as well, helping us with our babies sleep schedule, which has allowed our baby to sleep better than all of our other baby friends in a similar age range. We had Melanie start with us around the 6 week mark due to our postpartum schedule, and she was with us until just under 4 months. We could not have done this journey without her.

Hi, I’m MacKenzie, a certified birth and postpartum doula! I’ve been serving families throughout King, Snohomish, and Skagit counties for the past few years. I’ve always had a deep love for birth, even from a young age! My passion and curiosity around feeding and lactation are what initially drew me to doula work as a career, and I’ve loved being able to support families not only through labor and birth, but also through those tender and often overwhelming early days at home. As I continue to serve families in their homes, birth centers, and hospital settings, it is truly an honor to be invited into such an important and personal season of their lives. My goal is to nurture a judgment-free space where each family feels heard, respected, and cared for, while also helping families feel empowered in their choices and confident as they find their own way into parenthood. In my free time, I love going on adventures with my family, or snuggling up with a good book and a cozy blanket, surrounded by my cats and dog.

We had a wonderful experience working with MacKenzie as our birth and postpartum doula. As first-time parents, we had so many questions throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, and MacKenzie was always incredibly patient and thoughtful in answering them. She has a lot of knowledge and experience and was able to give us the information and perspective we needed without ever making us feel overwhelmed. Her prenatal visits were especially helpful in preparing us for what to expect during labor and delivery. She helped us understand our options, supported the choices that felt right for us, and advocated for me as the mom when needed, while always respecting that the decisions were ultimately ours. During labor, her calm and supportive presence helped both of us feel more confident during such an intense and unfamiliar experience. After the birth, she stayed with us to make sure breastfeeding was getting off to a good start. I also passed out after labor, and having MacKenzie there was incredibly reassuring. She helped me and my partner understand what was happening and navigate the situation when we were both exhausted and overwhelmed. We really appreciated that her support didn’t simply end once the baby was born. She was also a great resource during the postpartum period. Having someone experienced whom we could turn to with all of our first-time-parent questions made the transition into newborn life feel much less overwhelming. In addition, MacKenzie is a Carrot in-network provider, which was very helpful for us. She was willing to coordinate with us and make sure her invoices met Carrot’s reimbursement requirements, which made the reimbursement process much easier. We are very grateful to have had MacKenzie support us through such an important time in our lives, and we would absolutely recommend her to other expecting and new parents.

I cannot recommend Ashley enough! She is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. She is skilled in baby positioning, helping to ensure optimal alignment for a smoother labor process. I'm thrilled to share about the amazing help we received from Kelly Hickman as our sibling support doula. Kelly's commitment and knowledge were truly outstanding. She managed to take care of our older child while also providing invaluable assistance to our birth doula during my wife's home birth. Kelly offered us two home visits prior to the birth of our daughter to answer all of our questions and to spend quality one on one time with our 3 year old son, engaging with him in his favorite activities. She took pictures with him so we could look at them together as a family and talk with him about how his friend Kelly was going to come back and play with him soon when mommy was having his baby sister. She really took the time to bond and form a genuine connection with him, and because of that, he very much looked forward to his time with her when she finally returned for the birth. Her sincere care, attentiveness, and ability to handle multiple tasks made a significant impact during this important time for our family. Kelly's presence provided comfort and reassurance, and her dedication to the well-being of both my children was truly extraordinary. I'm incredibly thankful for her exceptional support and wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone in need of a compassionate and skilled doula.

Hi — I’m Sampaguita Thank you for being here. I’m a birth worker, student midwife, and lifelong advocate for reproductive and sexual bodily autonomy for every body. My work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves choice, access, safety, and power in their reproductive journeys. It is a sacred calling to support people through the transformative journeys of pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and parenting, and I hold this responsibility with deep gratitude. I bring a lived, embodied lens to this work as a... - Non-binary lesbian - Mixed 2nd-generation Filipino-American - Birth worker with nearly 10 years of experience - Working-class upbringing - Covid cautious and harm reductionist - Living with chronic pain and disabilities

We’re so grateful to have had Sampaguita's support in our birth experience. From the very beginning, they were incredibly kind and genuine. As a queer and trans family, we felt completely comfortable in the space they created. They were also incredibly knowledgeable and we appreciated the time they took to figure out what was most important to us around the birth, answer our questions, explain our options, and help us feel informed and empowered throughout the process. We always felt heard, respected, and supported. We truly couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate and knowledgeable doula. We’re so grateful for the care they gave us and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, affirming, and genuine support.
