Hi — I’m Sampaguita Thank you for being here. I’m a birth worker, student midwife, and lifelong advocate for reproductive and sexual bodily autonomy for every body. My work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves choice, access, safety, and power in their reproductive journeys. I’m especially honored to support individuals and communities whose lineages have had to fight for this freedom — whether that meant the right to give birth and raise children, or the right not to. It is a sacred calling to support people through the transformative journeys of pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and parenting, and I hold this responsibility with deep gratitude. What to expect

My services include physical, emotional, and informational support in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I offer continuous presence and compassionate care as you navigate your pregnancy options and outcomes. Working with me includes: an initial intake, prenatal visits, full labor and birth support, immediate postpartum support, early postpartum visits, unlimited virtual support, and on-call availability leading up to your EDD. My goal at our prenatal visits is to support you in feeling confident and clear in your options for labor and delivery. We get there through building an understanding of your vision, learning what's grounding to you, and exploring different labor comfort measures. In your postpartum visits, I'm there to support your rest and recovery, newborn care and bonding, and emotional processing of your birth experience. As your doula, I'll never make decisions for you-- but I will support you in feeling capable to ask the questions you need to feel strong about your yes's, maybe's, and no's.

Sampaguita is an incredible being! They supported me throughout a shattering pregnancy loss. Sampaguita created a nurturing and trusting space and helped me me feel safe, cared for, and supported while I navigated sudden loss and deep grief. Sampaguita brings a profoud understanding of the transformative experience of pregnancy and post-pregnancy. They incorporated a number of ritual practices that were beautiful and healing. Sampaguita came to my partner and I during such a low moment of our lives when we were drowning in distress and grief. They created such a safe and inviting space for my partner and I to feel held as we processed our feelings outload for the first time post miscarriage & abortion, especially as a queer bipoc couple, helping my partner and I reconnect and rediscover our love for one another. Despite my delay in contacting Sampaguita after all of the medical things had taken place, I do not regret asking them to be my doula one bit, they were the 'somebody' I needed, who aligned with my beliefs and identities, to guide my partner and I through such a difficult and life altering moment.
