I am a young first time mom who is very organic and natural. I don’t want to go to a hospital because I do not trust or believe them. They also scare me. Me and my boyfriend want a water birth and an at home birth. No shots. No medication that isn’t necessary. Just all natural. I’m not sure what my budget is just because I have never done this before but I’ve done some research and I’d like to stay under $10,000 if possible and if you take insurance that would be even better.

I plan to give birth at a hospital but I would like help laboring at home as long as possible, and help throughout the pregnancy and labor. I want little to no medical interventions and go as natural as possible. I would also appreciate anyone who works in with Medicaid/insurance. I’ve just graduated from nursing school and cannot work for a while.

I plan to give birth at the hospital. I need help coming up with a comprehensive birth plan. My goal is to spend $1500 for a doula.

I'm pregnant with my 8th. I hope to have a birthing center birth. I am looking for a person to support me during this pregnancy and postpartum in the areas of nutrition and fitness/strength. Looking for good, safe exercises and motivation. Possibly doula services at birth as well.

I’m looking for additional support that is affordable for labor and potentially post-partum. My husband is amazing and will be there, but my research suggests that having a doula can help to avoid unnecessary C-sections and episiotomies. I am NOT looking to do a natural birth and my research concludes that I absolutely will want an epidural, as the benefits outweigh the labor pain risks for me. That being said, I want an advocate who understands birthing. Someone who will be able to communicate with the doctors in instances where I cannot. I can’t expect my husband to do all of this, and I may be incapacitated/not thinking straight. Looking for someone with experience supporting brown and black mothers, being our advocates, and standing up for us for our needs and wants. For example, I’d like to do a vaginal birth with an epidural, and be able to move around and be in the best position, whatever it takes for labor to go the most smoothly if it is uncomplicated. I also want to be sure that the baby received skin to skin contact from both me and my husband. Other than that, I’d like to simply learn more about the support I’d receive as well as potentially have someone with the right touch to provide massage or comfort during this time. This is my first child and I’d like to ease my anxiety as much as possible. I’d like to understand the types of support I could get for about $1,500 but we can discuss options. We plan to give birth at Georgetown University Hospital and I am currently a Medstar patient.

I am 26 years old and this is my first child so I would like someone to just give me advice and basically be there for me through this journey. I would like to give birth at a birthing center close to a hospital if I need to go to it, but I am not opposed to going to the hospital I just don't want to have the baby on my back. My budget is under $2,000 preferably. I also would like to try and breast feed to know what drinks or food I can intake now to help with that. I am also a picky eater so helping me come up with a balanced diet would also be a great help as well. I just would like to prep on what I should be doing each month and things I need to order so that I can already have it before the baby comes.

I’m really nervous about labor and delivery. I want an epidural and am good with medical intervention. I’m nervous that my husband won’t be calm during the birthing process. I need someone who can help me be calm through it and help coach my husband through it. I also am nervous about being very vulnerable during birth and consent is very important for me and want to make sure I feel comfortable and not taken advantage of. I am looking for pregnancy and birth doula support.

We’re moving midway through the pregnancy to the DC region, Maryland side. We’ll probably live in the Rockville area but I’m hoping to give birth with the midwives at George Washington University’s hospital. I’m looking for a labor doula to support an unmediated birth. I also struggled with low supply with my first child so I’m hoping to find a lactation consultant who specialises in that. We have Tricare, which covers both doulas and IBCLCs.
