Shanna Cox

Birth & Postpartum Doula
Atlanta, Georgia
About me

Hello, my name is Shanna and I am a certified labor and postpartum doula serving the metro-Atlanta area (within a 50 mile radius). As a maternal and infant health researcher with more than 18 years of experience documenting the maternal health crisis in the United States, I have seen firsthand how essential doula support is during this journey. I became a doula to be part of that solution. I believe the time during and after pregnancy is sacred. I educate families about their options and tailor my services to their unique preferences. This includes childbirth education, exercises to prepare the mind and body for labor, labor companionship and comfort measures, postpartum healing through nutritious foods, teas, and natural remedies, and guidance in infant care and self‑care. My approach centers your voice, your values, and your vision to help you outline a path that reflects your preferences and supports your well‑being. I offer free 30 minute consultations. Please call 404-594-3414 or email info@nurturecaredoula for more information.
