Home birth, Im trying to budget between 3k and 5k. Second birth, unmedicated and as least intervention as possible.
I want somebody to help me along the way because it’s my first child
I am hoping for a VBAC after a semi-traumatic cesarean experience. I believe my best chances to achieve this would be through help of a doula and a midwife, as the current OB I see pushed for an early induction last time and I can feel that's the direction she's pushing for this second pregnancy. The OB only pushed for induction and brought up cesarean based on baby's projected size. First son was 8lbs 12.5oz at birth; so not small, but certainly not over 10lbs as they had insisted. My current plan is to give birth at Henrico Doctor's Hospital (where I delivered my first), but am open to other options such as a home birth or a birthing center. I would love to try for unmedicated this go around. I am not a high-risk pregnancy, I have a healthy BMI, baby is healthy, no gestational diabetes, no markers for preeclampsia or hypertension, so I believe and feel strongly that I can attempt a VBAC + TOLAC.
I would love a home birth and a doula who accepts Medicaid since I’m going through a tough financial time Birth plan would be home dim lights, delayed cord clamping, skin to skin.
We prefer a doula-led birth with safety first. 2. We are open to an epidural if needed. 3. Please delay cord clamping if possible. 4. We want immediate skin-to-skin contact. 5. Baby will room with mom after birth. 6. We plan to breastfeed our baby.
I am almost 26 weeks pregnant and having to switch prenatal care since we just moved to Warrenton, VA from SC. I would love help making a birth plan, prefer to do a home birth or a birth center rather than the hospital, and would like to be covered by our BCBS FEP basic plan.
Hospital Not sure on budget I want to go into labor naturally (no inducing). I Plan to deliver naturally with minimal intervention (unless necessary for my health or the baby’s).
I plan to give birth at home or at a birthing center via a tub birth. I need a provider with a certification that meets Tricare's requirements, speaks English, and has at least a year of experience. I do not have a budget estimation but have seen that Tricare does cover a doula and a midwife. I have Tricare Reserve Select.
Home birth Preferably covered by Medicaid insurance All natural, water birth, calm relaxing environment
