I’m Rachel, a birth companion (doula) and postpartum caregiver supporting mothers preparing for natural, physiologic birth and a supported postpartum transition. I work with mothers who are doing their best to prepare, but feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice, medical pressure, and not knowing who or what to trust. Many don’t want to feel passive in their birth, but also don’t want to feel like they have to manage everything alone or fight to be heard. My background includes out of hospital birth, herbalism, holistic maternal care, and lived experience as a homebirth mother. After going through multiple pregnancy losses and receiving support from other women, I knew that I wanted to learn how to support women through labor and birth, both in the extreme highs and extreme lows of that journey. I was trained in 2018 and have been practicing ever since! My doula career began in San Antonio and is now continuing in middle Tennessee, where I live with my husband and 3 beautiful children. I truly see doula work as a calling and ministry. I am passionate about empowering and supporting women, and I would love to walk alongside you in your pregnancy and birth!

Daisy grew up in a small town in Alaska with her 6 siblings. She has always had a huge interest in pregnancy and birth, as she attended many of her aunts midwife prenatal visits and even one of her births at a young age. In January 2019, Daisy decided to move forward in pursuing a job in the birth worker world. She discovered what a birth doula was and soon found a certification program in Nashville TN that offered everything she was wanting. She was working in the Army as a military police at the same time as she was doing her certification, so the process took a little longer than expected but it allowed her to truly educate herself and work towards this new lifestyle for herself. When not doing birth work, Daisy enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and his three children. They do many outdoor activities to include; water parks, camping, fishing, and swimming. Daisy is certified as a labor and birth doula through Blissful Birthing TN, certified as a childbirth educator through Childbirth International, and certified as a placenta encapsulation specialist through Brilliant Birth Academy. She is also trained as a postpartum doula through Blissful Birthing TN.
