My passion for this work stems from my own experiences. My first two babies entered the world in quite traumatic experiences, following severe postpartum depression and lactation issues. I remember thinking to myself “I don’t want anyone else going through this alone”. I quickly became the lady that friends and family called when they needed help or had questions. I had no idea what a doula was until someone sent me a thank you card one time that said “Thank you for being my doula”. This word really got me. I had no clue what that was. I decided to look it up and to my surprise I found it originated from Greece and means “to serve or mother the mother”. I instantly fell in love with that and realized that it was my calling. I hardly ever hold babies because they are in the safest place in the world, their mother’s arms. I always hold the mother though because just like her baby, she was just born too.

Hi! I’m Kylie, a wife and mama of three kids. I work with a team of 3 doulas in and surrounding Springfield, Missouri I’ve had a passion for pregnancy and birth since I was a little kid, which has just grown over the years. At 17, I was present for the home birth of my youngest sibling. In that moment, I turned to the midwife and told her I was going to do this (birth work) with my life. After having my first baby, I realized how vital support is for a new mom. Whether it’s her first, third, or fifth baby. My goal as your Doula is to support and nurture you every step along the way of your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

We are a group of birth doulas, childbirth educators, and lactation counselors who offer prenatal, birth, and postpartum support as well as breastfeeding and childbirth education classes! We look forward to walking alongside you!

My background as an RN in both critical care and medical oncology largely involved walking alongside patients facing the end of life. These experiences sparked a deep passion in me to see that individuals are given a chance at the healthiest possible life - from the very start! This led me to complete Birth and Postpartum Doula Training through DONA International, as well as Lamaze Childbirth Educator training, so I could better support families from pre-conception all the way through the “fourth trimester” of postpartum. I believe these professional experiences, along with my personal journey as a mother of three—with births in both hospital and freestanding birth center settings—have uniquely equipped me to support families during the most vulnerable and powerful moments of becoming a parent. It's my honor to be a part of your unfolding birth journey! A Missouri native, my husband and I lived in several Midwestern cities before putting down roots on the family farm where he was raised. I am enamored by the earthiness of birth, whether it's a human's or a heifer's. I love slow mornings with my people, making nourishing foods and home goods with my hands, and reading about the juncture of bodies and souls under a giant quilt.
