What's the Cost of Hiring a Night Nanny in St. Petersburg, FL?

The cost of a night nanny in St. Petersburg, FL can vary depending on the specific services provided, the experience of the nanny, and the number of hours required. On average, the cost of a night nanny in St. Petersburg, FL can range from $20 to $40 per hour. Some night nannies may also offer overnight rates, which can range from $150 to $300 per night. It's best to contact local night nanny services for specific pricing information.

The cost of a night nanny in St. Petersburg, FL can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in St. Petersburg, FL, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Hannah Furr

I'm very passionate that those in my care feel seen and heard,, and know that there is someone present focused on advocating specifically for their needs. I want to bring inclusiveness and trauma-informed care to the forefront of my practice. My approach is very client led and tailored to each person's specific needs.

Hannah was my doula for my birth of my son Luca. She was truly wonderful through the whole process before labor helping me prepare with everything I was worried about. During labor when my whole birth plan went to waste due to having a emergency c-section and helping me feel empowered to the whole situation. Even when the doctors were rushing my whole birth she made sure to question them when I wasnt able to advocate for myself. She even waited the whole time during my c-section and made sure me and my baby were/ felt safe after. I truly couldn't have imagined being without my doulas during this whole process as it was a very traumatic experience for me and the only thing keeping me going is how empowered they kept me through the whole situation. I loved having her as my doula and would choose her over and over again to be there for me. Having a doula is one of the best choices I have ever made for myself and my family you feel supported and at peace knowing they are there for you in all aspects of pregnancy! If you're on the fence of whether or not you need a doula I can tell you that it's the best thing you can do for yourself as a first time mom!

For someone as neurotic as me, Alexa helped make my birthing process sooooo much better. Alexa listened with intention and care, validating every single one of my concerns and quirks with warmth and professionalism. She honored my birth plan with immaculate precision (down to every little detail I had mapped out) and still managed to create a nurturing, peaceful, and empowering space that helped me feel safe, supported, and seen. Alexa brought both calm and confidence into the delivery room. Her presence is so grounding and calm! Which is exactly what I needed (and she knew). I can’t recommend her enough. Virginia Parent

My name is Virginia Parent. I am a Doula and Night Nanny located in Venice, Florida. I have been a Doula for the last 5 years serving families from Lakewood Ranch, Myakka city, to Fort Myers. I believe all families deserve to have a supported birth experience. As a mother of 4, I have experienced two hospital births, one which was an induction and a NICU baby; and I have experienced two midwife supported water births. I have formula fed, exclusively pumped, and exclusively breastfed. My large range of personal experience helps me to remind my clients that birth has a wide range of normal and allows me to relate, personally, to clients no matter how they choose to give birth. I am here to help mother's experience a cozy and welcoming journey into their new roles as mothers and as a family. I am trained as a Postpartum Doula and have recently shifted into Night Nanny work. I am focused on providing parents with the best sleep they can get during the transitional times of being a new parent for the first time or the 5th time. This includes providing breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and pumping support, providing support through sleep regressions, schedules, and following the parents lead for their ideal sleep situations. I also offer breastfeeding and pumping support in small sessions to help with scheduling, latch issues (within normal range), and assisting when baby maybe struggling with growth. I love the work that I do because it helps support parents through some of the most trying and vulnerable times of their parenthood journey. I hope you consider me for your next journey through parenthood. I am an LLC, CPR/First Aid Certified, and Insured.
