I'm currently looking for a postpartum doula (or newborn care specialist) based in the Los Angeles area for my baby’s first few weeks of life. I am specifically looking for someone experienced in the swaddled bath technique (bain enveloppé / therapeutic newborn bath) to help create a gentle, soothing transition for my newborn and guide us through the process.

I’d like to give birth at the hospital. I’d like for my insurance to cover cost I am delivering at Tarzana Hospital. I have LA-Care through medical. I really wish to have a natural birth with the least amount of medical interference I’d prefer to not have to do Pitocin, epidural, c-section, or any form of episiotomy.

Otherwise I will have to pay out of pocket and while I want support, birth is expensive. I have an amazing midwife who operates out of Los Robles so we'll be doing that there. My ideal midwife would be spiritual - have sound bowls or suggestions for good music, sounds, breathing techniques, positions and natural herbs, oils and yoni steams to help bring a baby into this world in the most natural way possible given the circumstances.
