Hospital birth My budget depends on approved coverage through Indigenous health benefits as I’m First Nation. This is my first baby and I’m looking for a supportive, positive birth experience in hospital. I’d like a doula who can help me stay calm, informed, and supported during labour and postpartum.
We are first time parents looking for a post-partum doula to support us in the transition into parenthood to promote positive mental health. Starting with the nitty-gritty, working with someone who is willing to take proactive health precautions is non-negotiable due to mum's and baby's exposure to immunosuppressant medications - doctor's orders! We are looking to use funding via the Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program, but are open to self-funded options if the right fit comes along.
