Tracy's passion for serving and nurturing people goes way back to childhood. While she often said she wanted to be a waitress when she grew up, she absolutely loved babies and simply wanted to be a mommy - little did she know the 2 were synonymous! Fast forward to adulthood where, thanks to reality TV shows, she became an armchair birth expert. Only to find out with her first pregnancy and birth that she really knew nothing. Hello! I’m Nicole, a Birth and Postpartum Doula based in Calgary, Alberta. My motto is simple: Your body. Your baby. YOUR choice. Period. Alongside birth and postpartum care, I also serve as an End-of-Life Doula and am expanding my training in infertility, pregnancy, and infant loss support. My primary focus is birth support, but if you also want a little bit of help transitioning once you get home with baby, I'm available for that too. I tend to be a calming, quiet presence, and my clients usually comment on how I keep them feeling steady and grounded during birth. I live in Calgary with my husband and two pre/teen boys. I love to garden, knit, and dance. I bake all the things, and can't wait to settle down on a small farm someday.

The early weeks with your newborn are undoubtedly magical, but they can also be challenging and overwhelming. Your body has gone through an enormous change, and your hormones will be shifting as well, the dynamics of home life shift and new skills are learnt by all the family.  As your birth doula, my role is to offer you and your family the necessary support for a positive birthing experience.  I will give you the much-needed continuity of care, access to accurate information and to be a guide along your pregnancy and birthing journey.
