Hi, I'm Tamar, the founder of Doula on Deck and a certified full-spectrum doula serving Oakland and the surrounding East Bay communities. I've been certified in full-spectrum doula care and Nurturing Touch since 2018, and I'm also triple-certified in postpartum doula care. My approach is rooted in compassion, patience, and respect for each family's unique journey. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel heard, informed, empowered, and supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My philosophy as a doula is that support should be judgment-free and centered on each family's individual needs and choices. Let me take laundry off your to-do list! I provide thoughtful in-home laundry assistance for baby clothes, blankets, towels, bedding, and everyday family laundry. Services include washing, drying, folding, and putting clothes away. Laundry added to a grocery visit starts at $30/hour. *Final hourly pricing and services included are determined after a consultation. No minimum-hour requirement. Clients provide their preferred detergent.*

Meal Prep Assistance
Make mealtime a little easier! I help busy families prepare ingredients ahead of time so cooking feels less overwhelming during the week. Services include washing and chopping vegetables, pre-seasoning meats and other ingredients, portioning food, and organizing prepared ingredients for easy meal preparation. *Meal prep is completed in your home using your preferred ingredients. Clients provide groceries, cooking tools, and storage containers. *
Baby Furniture Assembly
Preparing your nursery for baby's arrival? I provide careful, dependable assistance assembling baby furniture to help you get your space ready. Services include assembling nursery dressers, changing tables, shelving, and other suitable baby furniture according to manufacturer instructions. *Furniture must include all necessary parts and instructions. Assembly is limited to items within my experience and capabilities. Required safety anchoring must be completed according to manufacturer guidelines.*
