Second time client of Tias! I first used Tia's services 2 years ago where I was successful with my first medicated VBAC birth. As soon as I received my positive pregnancy test with my third baby, I KNEW Tia was going to be hired again! Even my husband, who was first against hiring a doula, was quick to ask if I already contacted Tia when I announced to him our 3rd pregnancy :) Tia did it again! She was the support I knew I needed for this 3rd birth and with her encouragement and belief in me, I was able to have an unmedicated 2VBAC! According to my husband, this is our last baby haha so I wanted to take advantage of Tia's placenta print she offers. I am so happy I decided on that because Tia made us the most beautiful placenta print which incorporated all three of our children. If another baby were to magically happen for me in the future, Tia will OF COURSE be hired again, without a question! And anyone I know in need of support for their births in the future, I will without a doubt recommend Tia. Thank you TIA!!!

I am absolutely in love with the services Tia provided for me prenatally, during labor, and in the postpartum period! During pregnancy, Tia was an amazing resource for questions and second opinions (having someone to send those raw pictures to is such a relief, she’s seen it all) and had amazing knowledge to share during the prenatal and comfort measure classes, which helped both my husband and I prepare for our first birth experience! During labor, Tia was likewise INCREDIBLE. We had a 36 hour labor and Tia was with us every step of the way, the first 31 hours supporting us as I labored at home and then the last 5 hours during a hospital transfer. Tia knows ways to comfort, encourage, and empower you whether you’re giving birth in the comfort of your own home or in a hospital. She’s even a great person to consult if you’re trying to figure out how your birth should look - from the birth plan itself to which hospital. She has years of experience supporting moms in vaginal and cesarean births, so she knows what options are available even when you would never think to ask - for example, while I was pushing I was starting to lose motivation and kept asking if the head was coming out yet. Tia picked up on this and asked me if I would like a mirror to see the birth of my child, to which I quickly accepted and soon after had a mirror to see the miraculous crowning of my beautiful daughter before her full birth! She held my hand, prayed with me, and gave me so much support in every way despite the hours that dragged on. She is the strongest advocate that every momma should have to support themselves, and in postpartum was not only great with having my placenta products (salve, capsules, print, and heart keepsake) quickly available, but helped me unpack the emotions and process the birth experience itself, something too many mothers are never given the opportunity to do. Rather than being there for just the baby, Tia truly shows up in the space for the mother, and the difference this provides in how you feel afterwards is profound! I will absolutely without a doubt be using Tia for all my subsequent pregnancies and couldn’t recommend her more strongly. Be sure to ask about her birth & beyond package, too! We did this for a better rate to also include an IBCLC in our birth team and it helped us to get our daughter’s lip and posterior tongue tie quickly diagnosed and managed so that breastfeeding wasn’t painful. ♥️

We are so glad we chose to work with Tia for the birth of our first baby! The level of education she provided was incredibly helpful with mentally/physically preparing for birth. In the hospital, her care and support was invaluable to my husband and I since neither of us had been through this process before. We would absolutely recommend Tia to anyone looking for a doula!

I had the privilege of working with Tia from Birth Your Way Maternity Services and I cannot recommend her enough. From the very beginning, it was clear that Tia has a true passion for birth work. Her empathy and compassion immediately put me at ease, and her genuine care for my well-being made all the difference during such an important time in my life. Tia’s deep knowledge of pregnancy and childbirth was evident in every interaction we had. She answered all my questions thoughtfully and provided evidence-based information that empowered me to make informed decisions about my birth plan. Her calm and reassuring presence created a sense of safety and confidence for me, even during the most intense moments. What truly stood out was Tia’s adaptability and flexibility. She adjusted seamlessly to changes in my birth plan and always made me feel supported, no matter what. She empowered me to express my needs and preferences to my medical team, ensuring that my voice was heard throughout the process. In addition to her exceptional support during pregnancy and birth, Tia also provides placenta encapsulation services. I took advantage of this service, and it was such a smooth and thoughtful process. Knowing I had this option as part of my postpartum recovery plan made me feel even more cared for and supported. Thanks to Tia, I felt prepared, supported, and confident throughout my journey. She was an incredible advocate and partner in the birth experience I had envisioned. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated doula, Tia is absolutely the best choice. She will undoubtedly make your birth experience as positive and empowering as she made mine.

I recently connected with Tia regarding placenta encapsulation services. I had done my own research previously but was unable to find someone local with my first pregnancy. I had an awful experience my first time with post partum depression and anxiety and really wanted to try the capsules as a way to battle those symptoms this second time around. Tia with Birth your way came highly recommended and it’s obvious why. She’s responsive, knowledgeable and cares about her clients well being. She answered all my questions and made me feel confident in trying the service regardless of the outcome. Obviously there’s never a guarantee that something like this will work, but with her own personal experience and what I had read, I was willing to try anything. Tia came and picked up my placenta and delivered the final product the next morning. When she arrived she went over the process and instructions with me. I am currently on my 3rd week taking my capsules and feel incredible physically and mentally. I would have to say that there is a complete difference in my mood and energy than when I went without them. Having a toddler and a newborn is definitely challenging but feels less stressful than when I had just a newborn. I would recommend Tia and her service to anyone willing to try something new. You won’t regret it!

I would highly recommend doing the placenta encapsulation for all the future mamas. I didn't do it with my first pregnancy and now I have contrast with two very different post partum experiences. With my first, I slumped into a deep PPD that went on for months. I also struggled with energy and milk supply after my first baby was born. I have been using the capsules for over a week now since my little girl was born and have noticed a worlds difference. I haven't have huge dips in my mental moods, my milk supply has been coming in wonderfully, and my energy levels are way better compared to my first child experience. Would highly recommend doing this if you can, you are worth it mama!

From our very first meeting, Tia brought my husband and I a sense of calm and reassurance that made all the difference during our pregnancy journey. Her knowledge and expertise were evident, which made us feel much more comfortable and prepared for what to expect come delivery time. Throughout labor, Tia was an incredible support, providing both physical comfort and emotional encouragement. Her intuitive understanding of the birthing process and ability to advocate for my wishes made me feel empowered every step of the way. After the birth, we also used Tia’s encapsulation service, which she hand delivered. I highly recommend Tia for both her doula and encapsulation services!

Fantastic placenta encapsulation experience! Tia gave me some great insight on my placenta, educated me on every step of the process and followed up days and weeks later to see how my postpartum experience with the placenta capsules was going. I have the coolest art prints of my placenta, and the umbilical cord preserved as a heart forever and ever. Cant wait to use the placenta tincture and salve as well. So many benefits and uses down the road to balance my hormones with these placenta products and it made my postpartum experience so wonderful.

I gave birth a little over three weeks ago, and since then, I have not been able to get the support that Tia provided out of my mind. Prior to actually being present for the birth of our first born, Tia provided prenatal resources that were super helpful in better understanding what to expect during the delivery. Our prenatal visit helped get us in the right mindset for what was to come. I ended up going into labor about two weeks early, and Tia didn’t miss a beat. I texted her when my water broke in the middle of the night, and she responded, providing support right away. While I labored privately, she provided positions and tips via text for getting baby into an optimal position. When contractions got closer together, Tia made her way to the hospital. Upon arrival, She jumped right in and coached me through the hardest hours of my labor, providing expert support tailored specifically to me and my birth plan. She helped me advocate for myself in the hospital when staff members were rushing our birth experience and pushing interventions. She help me find my inner strength so I could have the natural unmedicated birth I wanted, despite being induced (which was outside of my birth plan). She helped empower both my husband and me so we could bring our little boy into the world safely and the way we hoped. I highly recommend Birth Your Way Maternity Services. Thank you, Tia!!!

I can’t even find the words to say thank you! My first labor and delivery was everything I didn’t want. I knew I wanted something different the second time around. My first thought was hire a doula, I was in contact with Tia and it didn’t take long for me to notice she was the one! We instantly clicked, she is just so easy to talk to. We had a prenatal visit where she taught my husband and I certain positions we would want to try to get baby in optimal position, counter pressure techniques, she kept reminding me she was here for me and to support me and I felt very reassured I could do this. My goal was a unmedicated homebirth! Once I went into labor tia was in constant communication with me, she is extremely educated in the pattern of labor, my contractions were very inconsistent and she could tell my baby was not engaged just yet, she had me do a certain positions and a few hours later everything was starting to progress. She arrived at my house at 2 AM (with a tornado warning and a flood warning). I wanted hands off help but not too hands off and she was just perfect. Guiding me in different positions and movements to do during contractions and allow the baby to start moving down my pelvis. Doing the best counter pressure and helping me with my breathing to stay in control of my surgery. She knew the right time to start filling up the pool. When everything was getting hard she reminded me to breathe and relax which is what I needed. She took the most amazing videos and pictures of the process. I am so grateful for her and idk what I would’ve done without her. She gave me such peace of heart and helped me achieve my goal and dream of my home birth! Thank you Tia!

I worked with Tia as a birth doula for my first pregnancy and am SO glad I did. Even as someone who feels they can advocate for themselves in medical settings, and as someone who will do a ton of preparation, and as someone with an extremely engaged husband, I knew I needed that extra bit of support for my labor experience. Having Tia at our side was the reason I felt so confident going into labor - SUCH an unpredictable experience. I planned on getting an epidural and I also knew I wanted to work with a doula who would support my choices rather than push their own values. I never received any kind of judgement from Tia on my wishes, which is definitely not the case with all doulas. Tia’s extensive experience made everything with the hospital go so smoothly. I LOVE that the birth “plan” she created for us was just one page - definitely appreciated by the hospital staff. Having Tia’s support the week leading up to labor via text was especially helpful. My husband was also so grateful for her. Hire her!

As a husband, my wife’s insistence on hiring a Doula combined with my perception of how ridiculous it would be to hire a “pregnancy coach” felt like we were headed straight for divorce. In a world of out of control healthcare costs (the crime of our century), I could not stomach the thought of “hiring” someone (and a stranger at that) to stand-in as support with my wife. I lost count of the arguments we had about hiring a Doula, “Am I not seriously good enough for you?” was my common outburst at the end of every exhausting conversation (argument). For any skeptical husband out there, let me tell you right now: “You’re not”. And in your defense it’s not your fault. It’s not that you aren’t a supportive person. It’s not that you’re weak or any other (insert loss of man card feeling here) that you may have that you can’t be the one to provide for your wife. It’s literally because in our modern world, childbirth at a hospital is a business transaction. The doctors and nurses will make sure mom and baby leave healthy but that’s the extent of the service you’re going to get. It’s going to be scare tactics at every turn. You aren’t prepared for the number of difficult decisions and pressure you’re going to feel when “things aren’t progressing like they should”in that labor and delivery room. Have you ever stopped to think your OB is a surgeon? Or checked a hospital bill to see they bill for a labor & delivery room and an operating room if god forbid your wife/loved one ends up on surgery table? The point of my review is not to scare you (maybe soapbox a little about how far healthcare has deteriorated) but it’s more importantly to tell you the best decision you could ever make as a husband/father is to hire Tia as your Doula. (I’ll also let you in on a secret that a Doula isn’t just for your wife). My wife has given us two beautiful children and neither labor experiences were short of tumultuous. Having Tia there for us for birth number 2 was a complete game-changing experience.Even after we hired Tia and met with her twice at home (both great experiences looking back) my stubbornness had a wall up so big, that there was no way I could be convinced yet that we had made the right decision. But let me tell you, my skepticism completely melted away within minutes of her showing up in the labor and delivery room. It’s so hard to put to words the confidence and reassurance you get from having a “3rd party advocate” who is actually there advocating what’s best for your wife. Modern medicine may have made some cool technological advancements but there is no greater resource than having someone in the room with experience who knows the doctors (and their tendencies) can objectively review developments and keep your wifes birthpan on track (or modify as needed with confidence). For whatever it’s worth, I have never felt more compelled to write a review. Nor had my mind changed on a topic so drastically as I have with my thoughts on “pregnancy coaches”. But let me tell you from first hand experience, there’s no better choice you can make than to work with Tia.

This was my third baby, first time encapsulating my placenta. I had such an amazing experience with Tia that I wish I would have done it earlier on. The hospital was being difficult about holding the placenta on ice, but Tia got there as soon as she could come into the room. She had the pills ready by the next afternoon and was kind enough to drop them off to me while I was still at the hospital so that I could start them right away. I also thought it was amazing to see a photo of my placenta since it was shaped like a heart - I really appreciated the sharing of this photo and the time spent explaining some of the really interesting things about it. Overall, great experience and extremely grateful to Tia for making this so smooth and pleasant !! I would 100% recommend this service. Thank you again !

I have had Tia do two encapsulations. Both placentas were picked up within 24 hours of giving birth and both sets of encapsulations were back to me next day! They helped with my milk supply, exhaustion from giving birth and most definitely helped lessen the intensity of mood swings! I would recommend doing this to anyone!

Hire a doula, hire a doula! And if you’re able to, hire Tia as your doula! After laboring with my first in 2021 and allowing interventions I ended with an unplanned and in my opinion, unnecessary, c section. I knew right away that I would want a chance at a vbac in the future. Part of that plan was to hire a doula. I had read so many positive stories on how incredibly helpful a doula was to a birth team. I began interviewing as soon as I became pregnant with my second. It did take me a while to finalize things due to the time I spent trying to convince my husband of hiring a doula. With fear of losing Tia as my doula I decided to proceed in hiring her and to allow my husband to take my remaining pregnancy months to accept it. Tia came to our house twice towards the end of my pregnancy for prenatal visits that she offers. This was great not only for the education but for her to meet me and my little family and have hands on interaction. Tia has all the tools and tricks for labor. She is well educated on the female pregnant body and babies positioning. Tia was by our side for my very long 5 day labor making two trips to the hospital with us. Tia explained everything the doctor and nurses were telling me and what they were suggesting for expediting my labor. I had so many fears that I needed to work through that came from my first labor but Tia was very understanding. She knew what I had been through previously and all her advice came from her knowledge, watching my body during labor and my contraction patterns. Tia believed in me all the way through my very long labor and delivery. She even believed in me enough to go all natural but I did make the decision for an epidural and not once did I feel judged for it, only supported. **I truly believe I would’ve not been successful in my vbac without Tia.** Her calm aura, positivity, knowledge, hands on counter pressure, etc., was everything I needed and more. If I choose to have any more children in the future I will certainly be hiring Tia again!! Also, my husband was extremely happy that I made the call in hiring Tia! He is just as grateful for her and her support as I am! Thank you, Tia for EVERYTHING. Words will never be enough to express my gratitude for you.

Tia was my doula for the birth of my second child. She was incredible from the very start until the baby was born. Tia met us at the hospital while I was in active labor (in the middle of a snowstorm at 4am) and knew exactly what I needed even when I couldn’t catch a moment to even think for myself. She walked into the room and realized how exhausted I was and immediately got me a drink of ice cold water which I was so grateful for. I had been laboring at home and was in transition at this time when I hit the mental wall that I was unsure if I could continue without an epidural. Tia stood close to me and gathered my focus- she told me to breathe for my baby. With her encouragement I was able to focus on my baby and my daughter was born a few moments later.

If you want support and help to feel safe, grounded, and empowered, Tia is a doula to have by your side. I can easily recommend her! Tia was actually my backup doula as I went into labor while my doula was on vacation. So even knowing Tia for Short time, I felt very supported and empowered to have my choices supported. She was so calming and encouraging. She was great at helping me be physically comfortable in labor and helping me think through choice based on changes that came up in labor. From her communication and help through early labor, to massaging my thighs through contractions and her encouraging guidance through pushing, I’m really thankful she was there. She really cares.
