Hello! First time pregnancy. Looking for night care for newborn.

First baby, located in NJ near Philadelphia. No local family just my husband and myself. We are looking for assistance transitioning home with our son. Ideally overnights but would also accept during the day, just a few days per week. Perhaps light household duties but nothing crazy. We just really would like assistance for the baby’s care.

10-pm - 7 am three nights a week around $20 per hour

First baby, planning to give birth at Bryn Mawr hospital. The care would be for me and/or our son. I don't have any family support and I'm new to the area so I'm kind of navigating everything on my own. I think we'd want to start with 5 nights of overnight support. I'm not really sure how much daytime support I'll need, perhaps we can figure that out together! The due date is May 27, I'm not sure when doula care generally starts prior to birth but I think we'd probably want 6 weeks of overnight support with it tapering off and I'm unsure of how long I'll need support in the daytime.

The doula must be certified through DONA International, ICEA or National Black Doula's Association as a doula. Must speak English. Must have at least 5-6 years experience. I need a Doula to help with the baby after birth, during the day for 3-4 days the beginning, help with washing the baby and changing diapers and then just at night to wash and feed the baby, rock the baby back to sleep or change diapers, etc as needed. My budget is max $2,500, I’d like to have someone for at least 2 weeks if not 3 weeks after birth, depending on their rate. Will be helpful if they also can help take out the garbage to the curb, since I hear babies go through diapers very quickly. (I also need help with feeding the cat, 1-2 times at night if he cries for food as well). This is my first child, so I may also need some training and advice on what to do.
