Hi! I’m a birth doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor with a background in osteopathic medicine and a deep passion for perinatal support. During medical school, I saw how the way we approach and nurture pregnancy and birth can shape early family experience, creating lasting ripple effects. In addition to birth work, I lead parent support groups through PEPS and am a mom of two teens. I understand how unpredictable and transformative the journey into parenthood can be, and my role is to help you feel grounded in the moment and ready for what comes next. Every parent brings their own values and lived experiences—sometimes joyful, always complex—and I offer steady support and advocacy tailored to your unique path.

I am a Registered Nurse, Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Pre and Perinatal Psychology Educator and Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapist., located in Newcastle, WA. Birthing a new soul is a sacred rite of passage. In our busy world we have forgotten how to be fully present to receive this gift. Unfortunately, most hospital births feel far from empowering or sacred. Deliveries are often induced, creating a faster paced timeline that can make communication between mom and baby more confusing and difficult. Taking time to slow down and listen deeply to your baby, your partner and yourself can be immensely rewarding. It is not what we normally do, so having a guide is helpful. This is the service I’ve been providing to new parents for more than 30 years. I have worked with thousands of breastfeeding families in hospital and home settings. It brings me great joy to provide support and direction during your transition into parenting.

As your doula, lactation specialist and your health advocate, my goal is to compassionately support you through your parenthood experience. I apply a holistic approach to my practice, combining ancient wisdom with evidenced based science to give you a full range of information. My goal is to create a safe space for you to feel connected, honored, and supported in the decisions that give you peace and joy. This is a very challenging, vulnerable, and intimate time in life and having someone to guide you through your journey can be immeasurable. I feel humbled and honored to work beside parents in this transformational time.

Sherilyn Johnson RN, IBCLC has been offering excellence in breastfeeding care to the mothers and babies at Cuddles and Cream Lactation, since 2019. In 2003, Sherilyn became a Lactation Specialist at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. By 2006, she became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). With experience in labor and delivery, mother-baby care, and lactation support, Sherilyn has dedicated her entire career to helping mothers and babies thrive. Sherilyn enjoys living and working in the Yakima Valley. She collaborates with family practice providers, pediatric dentists, pediatricians, pediatric bodyworkers, OBGYN’s and many of the best providers in Central Washington, offering comprehensive care for breastfeeding families. Sherilyn is passionate about supporting mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey.
