Hello! I am the Founder and Nursing Director of Peaceful Passages Birthing Support Center. I am an experienced Labor and Delivery RN and Certified Doula of 25 years. We serve CA and FL, with multiple office locations . We offer a vast array of services, including, maternity concierge services , birth and postpartum doula services, Montrice services, Lamaze classes, Lactation support, placenta encapsulation, postpartum meal service, belly casting, mother blessing ceremonies, and cord burning ceremonies. I have been helping parents to provide Human Milk to their littles since 1995. I have helped families in a variety of settings such as a birthing hospital , NICU and even a health department. I can provide research base counseling when the parent is expecting to wean weaning is desired. I can provide guidance with use of tools that will hep in the collection of Human Milk and provide advice on medications affect on milk quality.

I am also an accredited La Leche League (LLL) Leader and an experienced nursing mother of 5 (all boys!). I hold a BS in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Health Promotion and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health, in addition to being Certified in Public Health (CPH). I guess you could say I love helping families and I’m a lifelong learner! I serve the Tampa Bay area as well as online. My own breastfeeding journey began when my oldest son was born as a preemie in 2010. With the right support, my son and I enjoyed a long and healthy breastfeeding relationship. My name is Amy Hammant, I am a licensed Internationally Board Certified Lactation Specialist, certified in Oral Habilitation, Cranial Nerve Dysfunction, Pediatric Feeding and Oral Motor Assessment, Pediatric Holistic Sleep Therapy, and CST-CFT trained. My Degree background is in Midwifery, and Health Psychology with a concentration in Maternal Child Health. I have served thousands of families of diverse populations over the years- working in and out of a hospital setting here in Tampa Bay, and also working in the community as the lead clinical lactation specialist at Champions for Children’s (Baby Cafe) program of Hillsborough County, before opening Tampa Breastfeeding Center. My journey started many years ago with my own three children struggling with feeding, and in particular, my daughter who was tongue tied. Our journey taught me so much, and gave me the passion and desire to give all families access to non-judgmental, evidenced based clinical lactation care. When I’m not helping mamas and babies, I spend my time with my family traveling in our RV making memories!
