Hi, I’m Siedah Israel, a Certified Labor Doula, Holistic Wellness Practitioner, and Certified Herbalist based in Fredericksburg in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. I’m a wife of 15 years and a homeschooling mother of five. My wellness and birth advocacy journey began with earning a certificate in Massage Therapy from Eastern Virginia Career College in 2018. I later completed my Doula Certification through Germanna Community College in 2024 and graduated with honors in Herbal Studies from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in 2025. I am currently in Phase I of the PEP process as I work toward becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). I have extensive experience supporting families through hospital births, birth center births, and home births. Personally, I have experienced three hospital births and two home births, which deeply informs the care, perspective, and support I offer to the families I serve. When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy homeschooling, spending time outdoors with my children, writing poetry, working on my werewolf novel, and handcrafting natural hair and skincare products. It is a true honor to walk alongside families with compassion, cultural awareness, and grounded support during such a sacred season of life.

While photographing my first home birth in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2014, I naturally found myself playing the role of doula between shots. I signed up for official training the next day and never looked back. Soon after doula training, I earned a Certification in Lactation Counseling (CLC) and began helping mothers struggling with feeding issues. I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of babies in various settings, with varying feeding challenges, and a wide range of feeding goals. Phelicia welcomes families of all dynamics, ethnicities, and backgrounds, supporting births at home, in-hospital, medicated or unmedicated, planned, and unplanned cesareans.

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, RN, and Advanced Practice Nurse. With 30+ years of experience in maternal child healthcare, I bring a well-rounded approach to lactation support. My professional journey includes extensive experience as a NICU nurse, where I provided comprehensive care, including assisting breastfeeding mothers. More recently, I've focused on providing skilled lactation support across different stages - from prenatal preparation through postpartum care, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Hi there! I'm Rebekah Niesen, and I became a Certified Birth Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor after birthing 4 kids and breastfeeding them all. I firmly believe that labor support, both emotional and physical, has an incredibly positive effect on labor outcomes, health of mother and baby, even bonding of your new family. My background includes the various fields of a degree in Microbiology and my first job which was to mentor college students, uniting my interests of research with communication and coaching. I have applied this to being a birth doula and lactation counselor, educating the family in evidence-based best practice to cultivate advocacy empowerment and how it pertains to each individual situation. When I am not serving others, you can find me walking the dog, reading a good book, accompanying my average singing with my average guitar playing, or playing board games with my husband and kids. I take Tricare insurance and can work with you if your insurance covers family services.

I have been a Registered Nurse for 24 years with most of my experience being in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum and Pediatrics. My experience in these settings inspired me to become a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to be able to help my patients as much as possible. I have now been practicing as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant for almost 5 years. I love to be able to help new mothers and babies with any obstacles they have in their breastfeeding journeys. I am a Navy Wife and mother of two grown children.
