The cost of a night nanny in Watsonville, CA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Watsonville, CA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. Hello, my name is Maria Depaz. I was born and raised in Monterey County, California, and I have always carried a deep passion for medicine, community care, and teaching. For over 12 years, I have worked in the medical field as a CNA, Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist, with experience in pediatrics, family medicine, urgent care, and psychiatric care. I am NICU Certified and currently serve families as a Full Spectrum Doula, supporting individuals through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, abortion, pregnancy loss, and reproductive experiences with compassionate and culturally rooted care. Alongside my medical background, I incorporate traditional Mexican healing practices that have been passed through generations in our communities. This includes sobadas, cerradas de caderas, baños, and postpartum care that honors the body, spirit, and transition into parenthood. I truly believe care is human, and my motivation to support my community is deeply rooted in my experiences within the medical field. While I may not have become a doctor, I do not see that as a limitation, but rather as a gift. My roles allowed me to build meaningful connections, provide quality care, and truly get to know the patients and families we served within our community. Through those experiences, I learned that healing is not only found in medicine, but also in compassion, trust, advocacy, and human connection. Those lessons continue to guide the way I care for families today. My approach blends clinical knowledge with nurturing, human-centered support. I believe families deserve care that is informed, respectful, culturally connected, and centered around trust, consent, education, and dignity through every stage of their journey.

With over seven years of experience caring for babies and children as a caregiver, I have always felt called to nurture, support, and uplift families during life's most tender moments. Ever since stepping foot in the postpartum care world, I found my passion and truly fell in love. As a doula, I offer gentle, hands-on support to new mothers and their families during the sacred postpartum period. My care is rooted not only in deep compassion and intuition, but also in the latest evidence-based practices and research in postpartum care, infant development, and maternal health. My philosophy is that when science and heart come together, families feel more confident, supported, and empowered. I show up with a calm presence, knowledge, and unconditional care.

Luiza was our postpartum doula for a total of eight weeks, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience with her. From our very first phone conversation, she immediately put so many of the worries my husband and I had at ease. We had a million questions as first-time parents, and by the end of that call, we both knew we had found our doula. We were even more impressed when we met her in person for our prenatal visit. She is incredibly knowledgeable, but what stood out to us was how well she teaches. She walked us through newborn care, feeding, sleep, and so many things we hadn't even thought to ask about. We left feeling so much more prepared and confident for our son's arrival. Over those weeks, she helped us establish a good feeding schedule, encouraged healthy sleep habits, helped us create a routine, and taught us so much about our baby along the way. She also helped us with all of the little things that no one really prepares you for — organizing our bottle washing area, bath-time tricks, setting up the nursery in a way that actually made sense, and finding routines that made our everyday life with a newborn so much easier. Her support with sleep shaping was especially helpful. By the end of our time together, we genuinely did not want her to leave. Luiza became someone we trusted completely and someone we now hold very dear to our hearts. If you're reading this review because you're considering booking Luiza, do it. You will be doing yourself and your family a favor. Having her support during those first weeks with our son was one of the best decisions we made, and we will always be grateful for her.

Jay has been an absolute lifesaver for our family. She not only provided exceptional night doula support—handling feeds, diaper changes, and soothing Elliott through the night—but also played a huge role in helping us successfully sleep train him. Her approach was calm, thoughtful, and incredibly effective. She guided us through the process with confidence, gave us practical tools, and adjusted to Elliott’s needs while also supporting us as parents. Thanks to her, Elliott is sleeping so much better, and we feel more rested and confident. We truly couldn’t have done this without her and would highly recommend Jay to any family looking for both compassionate overnight care and expert sleep support.
