Hi there! My midwife reccomended today a doula for birth so I am looking at what my options may be! I live on LI and will be delivering at LIJ Katz or Mt Sinai - looking to have a low intervention hospital birth as natural as possible

I plan on giving birth at home, unmedicated and without any interventions. I have insurance, and have a budget of $2,500 after insurance

Giving birth at NY Pres Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor NY. Estimated budget $1,800. Birth plan: epidural vaginal birth. I would strongly prefer a Black woman doula with at least two years of experience. I am 33, this is my first baby, and I am not high risk. I plan to primarily breast feed and pump. I am looking for a doula to support in preparing for birth, labor and delivery, and post partum. I have Aetna insurance, POS.

Plan to give birth at a hospital (L&M hospital in New London), tricare select covers doulas so hopefully I can find a doula that’s covered by our health insurance. My first was a very long induced labor, about 56 hours and I pushed for 3 hours. Ended up having a c section and would love to try a vbac this time around.
