My name is Ashlyn Reese with Nurtured Beginnings, I’m a certified Doula, Birth keeper, and Postpartum doula. I currently serve families in Berks County PA and surrounding areas. I have a passion for pregnancy, physiological birth, and postpartum. My goal is to provide women and families with gentle, encouraging, and educational support that helps to build the birthing experience into a cherished family memory. I believe in traditional wisdom and that birth is a rite of passage. I am passionate about helping women awaken that power within themselves and reclaim birth. I believe in mothering the mother. I believe in our bodies divine design and its ability to bring forth life. I believe in women, not the system. I believe women were created to have a village. And I’m here not only as a doula, but as a friend, someone you can feel safe with and count on to be there through all the challenges and joys motherhood can bring.

Lauren came into our lives as a doula, but will forever be someone we consider a friend!! Our first birth was harder and more unexpected than we ever thought, so we decided we needed support through our second time. Our first impression of Lauren was very laid back, thorough, and warm! She made us feel at ease, and covered all our concerns. Throughout my pregnancy she reached out many times to check on how things were going, provide suggestions for issues i was experiencing, and overall encouragement. She had videos to watch, and helpful links to information any time I had a new symptom or concern. She was very supportive of my wish for a vbac, and ultimately supportive of my decision to opt for a scheduled c section (we changed our minds at 38 weeks!). We loved working with Lauren, and highly recommend her to all!

Caroline was incredible! We absolutely loved getting to know her and working with her during this pregnancy and birth. From her calm supportive presence to coaching me through a largely unmedicated labor (which I never could have done on my own!) to visiting us after birth and bringing incredible food to help get through the early post partum phase, her support made our birth experience so much more joyful . I will be recommending her to all pregnant friends in the future!

Whether it’s newborn care, feeding support, emotional grounding, or simply giving you the gift of uninterrupted sleep, my goal is to make your nights softer and your days lighter. We had the pleasure of having Monica as our postpartum doula after the birth of our second baby. Monica is sweet, caring, and hard working. She supported my feeding goals, whether I wanted her to bring me baby to breastfeed or wanted her to offer baby a bottle so I could get some extra sleep. In addition to helping to care for our newborn, she was a tremendous help with cleaning bottles and pump parts and folding laundry - all the tasks that helped us focus on baby and get some extra sleep. Monica was a big help to us during the postpartum period and we gladly recommend her!

Haiii, my name is Fantasia Hernandez, and I am a new postpartum doula! At 25 years old, I have recently stepped into this role professionally, but in many ways, I have been doing this work for years. Growing up surrounded by women and families welcoming new babies into the world, I naturally found myself helping out, offering support, caring for newborns, and being a calm, steady presence during those early and tender weeks. I just did not realize there was a name for what I was doing. Becoming a postpartum doula feels like coming home. I have always been drawn to nurturing others, especially new mothers navigating the intensity, beauty, and vulnerability of the postpartum period. I believe every family deserves gentle, informed, and nonjudgmental support after birth, and I am honored to be a part of that journey. Whether it is holding the baby so a parent can rest, helping establish a feeding rhythm, or just being someone who listens, I am here to make the transition into parenthood a little softer.

With both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Communication Studies, I am profoundly aware of the power of connection and the vital role that community plays in nurturing women and families during the postpartum journey. My mission is to create a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space for all parents seeking guidance, reassurance, and emotional support as they navigate this precious and sometimes challenging time. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you in this beautiful chapter, offering both encouragement and care as you embrace the incredible journey of parenthood.

Working with Victoria was the best decision we made as new parents! We initially hired her for six weeks, but she was so amazing that we extended her contract for four more months. We honestly don’t know how we would’ve gotten through that time without her. Victoria is not only super professional but also so warm and personable. From day one, she felt like part of the family. She always listened to what we needed, respected our parenting choices, and gave helpful advice without ever being pushy. It was clear how much she cared, and her calm, supportive presence made such a difference during those hectic first months. And let me just say, I don't think we could have done it without her! Our little one adored her, and she had this magical way of soothing even the crankiest moments. Her overnight care was a game changer for us—we finally got some much-needed sleep, knowing our baby was in the best hands. If you’re thinking about hiring a postpartum doula, don’t even hesitate. Victoria is incredible, and we feel so lucky to have had her with us during such an important time. She made everything so much easier and more enjoyable!

Hi folks! My name is Revvy (he/him & she/her). I am a queer & trans full-spectrum birthworker based in Delaware County, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. My aim is to support folks through all possible experiences & outcomes of the reproductive process. My practice centers survivors and their autonomy, operating through a witchy lens. I believe all healing and care work practices must be intersectional as well as liberation-minded. I strive to make my work accessible and community oriented.

Recent review

Revvy was my doula for my most recent conception and pregnancy journey, and I could not have asked for a better experience. Revvy is knowledgable, and was able to answer questions that I had succinctly and compassionately. My pregnancy was complex, with gestational hypertension that caused me to have my baby boy several weeks early. Through this, Revvy helped me to feel empowered and prepared with solid information, recommendations for homeopathic remedies, and enthusiastic reassurance. My partner and I felt empowered to advocate for ourselves, especially after previous losses and challenges surrounding those feelings. I felt supported through the whole process, and would recommend Revvy as a doula to anybody looking for services.

Hi everyone I’m Ari! (she/they) I'm a Trained Full Spectrum Doula located in Philadelphia, PA. I’m dedicated to providing trauma-informed, client-centered, and affirming care for all. My background in art and passion for research motivate me to offer imaginative, evidence-based birth education and holistic support. To read testimonials from parents who have trusted me to be a part of their experience, follow this link: https://doulamatch.net/profile/34407/ari-eisen. As a birth doula, my focus is on prenatal education that centers physical, emotional, social, and spiritual factors impacting your pregnancy and parenthood journey. I'm here to support your unique vision for your birth experience and serve as your advocate in times of need. I understand that the bodymind is vulnerable and reactive to regimes of oppression. My goal is to uplift the innate beauty and strength of all bodies, with a focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC parents in navigating barriers to just medical care (though I work with parents of all identities). I am sensitive to the institutions and practices that contribute to poor maternal and birth outcomes and I maintain that anti-racism is essential to holistic carework. For years, I've engaged in embodiment practices such as yoga, meditation, and acupuncture to deepen my connection with bodymind intelligence and navigate my own chronic pain journey gracefully. Throughout my various doula trainings, I've upheld my values, which I'm eager to share with you. It would be an honor to be your guide and provide you with compassionate, radically inclusive support.

Ari is a wonderful doula. My husband and I worked with Ari during pregnancy and delivery (at the hospital). Ari was consistently a fantastic partner and coach to both of us. We felt understood, cared for, and supported. From listening to our goals, offering resources, and even providing a reassuring massage, Ari was a source of relief. We also appreciated that she was very knowledgeable but at no point told us what to do or passed judgments on our intentions for pregnancy and delivery. Ari is both calming and confident – the perfect energy to help me deliver our child. I strongly recommend them to any birthing parent or partner!
