About Abby

Hi, I’m Abby, and I started Palmetto Postpartum because the weeks after birth matter so much, and too many families go through them exhausted and on their own. I’ve spent time in the milk room at Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, helping make sure babies get the nutrition they need. I’m finishing my Master of Public Health at MUSC in Health Behavior and Health Promotion, and I’m currently working toward my ICEA postpartum doula certification and my IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) credential. As your postpartum doula, I’m here for the practical stuff and the emotional stuff. That might look like taking the night shift so you can sleep, help run errands during the day, helping with feeding and soothing, prepping meals, or just being someone you can ask the 2 a.m. questions. When it comes to sleep, I take a gentle, responsive approach. No cry-it-out, just routines that work for your baby and your family. I serve North Charleston, Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, West Ashley, and the surrounding area. Every family is different, and I’ll never judge how you feed, sleep, or parent. My job is to support you, so you can heal, rest, and enjoy your baby.

When should I book?

- Ideally in your second or third trimester, so your dates are held - Last-minute bookings are welcome too, depending on my availability
