Jasmine Middleton is a Certified CAPPA birth doula, Certified Full Spectrum Doula, postpartum doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, and a peer breastfeeding counselor. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Physical Activity Management and Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University. She has found a love for breastfeeding after having her son in 2018 and having the best lactation consultant. She has expanded and embraced her purpose as a birth worker to become a doula. Her oldest, Liam, was born via emergency C-section and her youngest, Ausar, was a VBAC, as a home birth. She has breastfed both of them a total of 6 years. She has extended her knowledge by researching and learning from other mothers who breastfed their little ones in a Facebook Group. She has had the opportunity to become a moderator in the same group. Mother's Helper was established in 1988 by Lin Cook to help new mothers with the myriad of questions commonly asked about caring for a new baby. Mother's Helper first offered postpartum doula in-home care for new mothers and then later added Bradley Childbirth and Infant Massage classes.
